Nollywood Actors Turn Billionaires From Monetised Social Media Videos

A good thing is happening in Nollywood .....
There is a financial revolution going on and there is no reason to be broke anymore unless one is lazy!!!.

All the actors are busy and you cannot get anyone of them to shoot movies as was the case anymore.....If they agree to take your script, they will charge you based on what they think you may be earning on Youtube or any other monetised platform.....
Let us look at the figures some actors are allegedly making on YouTube every month....I dont have the details of Tiktok and Facebook.

There is a Nollywood movie producer named Uche who lives in Abuja, OH MY GOD, he is living large as a result of his hard work and his earnings on moneitsed platform is as much as $400k every month...If you step into his studio in Abuja you will need to catch your breath.....

The next big persons earning madly on monetised platforms are movie producers Ruth Kadiri and Funke Akindele. Both reportedly earn about $200k every month and one of them is investing heavily on real Estate and i mean real estate big time.....These two women are Billionaires in every sense of the word....

Actor Freddie Leonard is rumoured to be earning about -50K USD on his monetised platforms and is no longer available to make movies for others as he now acts and loads his movies on monetised platforms.
The likes of Uche Jombo, Omoni Oboli and others make between 70-100k USD every month....Destiny Etiko and Chizzy Alichi are also big time earners who allegedly earn over 50k USD every month....

Your unfavourite actor Yul Edochie is earning big time as well on all his monetised platforms and that is why he will not stop posting all the nonsense you people hate anytime soon...So while you are thinking he is under the influence of love charm and misbehaving, his earnings sykrocket every month....
In case you did not get my explanation on how they make these monies, I will re-explain the new trend....

They open a youtube TV/channel,name it their name and add TV to it(Eg Stellas TV) and shoot their own movies using new actors or old ones if available ( the old ones are all busy doing same thing) and load these movies to YouTube and other places and they beg you to go to their channels and watch their movies where there are adverts placed from google..They earn per click, per visit and the more you visit, the more they load movies, the more they earn...Some load five movies every week or every month.......They are all too busy right now and it has become like a compeition.

The earnings are real and it has become really crazy and toxic accoring to an Insider.......To begin to monetise these pages, they need about 2k subscribers and you are good to go!

Its a beautiful thing happening and no movie producer can tell anyone to off PAENT before collecting script again....
I hear they are even buying stories, so if you have real life interesting stories, contact them and collect money before you give script or they may read through, say they dont want and turn back to use your story...LOL
It is a good thing

Ruth kadri is one silent babe.πŸ™Œ

These two respectively take their time to groom new actors and watch them grow. Look at tinini in Jenifa, the supporting director of ELJ is also a new guy from the just concluded kadara on Africa magic.

Bolaji Ogunmola and My babe Bims are also doing well. So many million views on her fame and fury .

  6. You people forgot Bimbo Ademoye oh

  7. Bimbo Ademoye is trying to, no wonder all of them have opened YouTube channels.
The thing that wants to finish them there is piracy, when you go to YouTube and search for their movies, it's not their own that will appear first channels that have lifted their videos will be the first to appear. Sometimes you see the fake channels having 200k views.
For me that is not fair, it really hurts. YouTube should find away to curtail that mess

  9. So true..but you dont have to be a nollywood actor/actress to start earning too on you tube, sure it makes it easier because they already have fans. But one can make money if you are creative, in this world of AI, it is possible, create engaging contents, educational materials, music, documentaries etc, etc.

  13. No wonder Maurice sam has opened his own YouTube channel. No more acting for others. They want to make their own money sharp sharp but the thing is most of the movies are repetitive and boring stories. Only a few of the movie make sense.
Their target market are those Africans abroad who miss watching local movies so YouTube comes in handy.
You are watching Ruth’s movie and you’re seeing the same house in like ten different movies. Haba!

    2. It is that same house and same story line of hers that puts me off. If her movie is ten, eight had some story line.

    5. Same discussion my husband and I were having this conversation yesterday, he said the problem he has with these movies is having to watch only 3-5 people act a full script for a whole 90mins - 2 hrs, but then, it is what it is.

I kept waiting for that babe in bolaji Oginmola's movie 'ghost of the past' to change her fringe wig (it points to the fact that they probably shot the whole movie in 2-3 days).

Michelle left the industry as Nigeria is not her base, Uche continued with movie making and has made it big.
