Nigerian Govt Allegedly Sack Workers With Benin Republic University Degrees

Nigerian Govt has reportedly allegedly terminated the employment of some staff who graduated from the universities in Benin Republic
This comes amid the fake certificate saga from Benin Universities earlier this year where a Nigerian journalist, Umar Audu revealed that he bought a Benin University degree with N600,000.
Consequently, the Nigerian government announced suspension of degrees from Benin Universities and others.
The Nigerian government had earlier blacklisted 18 foreign universities in Nigeria.

  12. NUC Published a list of universities in Benin Republic with fake accreditations . If Nigerians go there to bag their degrees, then it's entirely their fault.

The expedite list was made available on NUC site and in some national dailies some time ago, dont know if it's still on NUC site as of today. Ignorance is no excuse.

  14. I thought when someone is offered employment they validated the education to ensure legitimacy of the credentials. Especially for government jobs, don’t these ppl have to pass a security clearance and deep background check🤔
