Hahaha! Learnt the hard way that the real thing is not always what you see. My friend was dating a man, call him O. He spoilt her rotten. Gave her money for expensive creams and what not. She looked so beautiful, well taken care of. Mr. O’s friends were wealthy. I was sad that I was dating my university boyfriend oh! Na so people can spend money? See cars, life, living. Until she got married to O, I was the chief bridesmaid, then we realized it seemed like he borrowed even the furniture 😊 Maybe not that bad, but it was bad. The cars were all gone. No funds for creams so she became dark again etc. it was weird to naive me, and na so she found her way back to the big guys she knew previously. Lost touch over the years.

ReplyDeleteI used to have one boyfriend that will take me clubbing, spend millions, buy rubbish, fuck me shege, and won’t feel bad that I spent money on bus to and from his house. He will still ask me to buy fruits and foodstuff on my way and give me back the exact figure if not less sometimes. I was writing my final paper then and didn’t have money for clearance so I said let me ask him to borrow me 20k. This man told me that he no be my papa and I should stop begging him for money. Mind you I never begged him for anything before. It was a friend that brought ushering jobs that saved my life. Imagine me writing exam and doing ushering at the same time. This was the same man that was ready to pay ac car to pick me from Kwara to lagos because he wanted to show me off for a house party. Nobody told me twice before I gave myself sense and left him. The man I’m with now caters for me very well and takes pride in how I’m able to turn single digits to double with my businesses. Real man that loves me the way christ loves the church.
Let her keep the money. It can be painful when these men throw money in our faces but can’t do the bare minimum as an act of love and affection.
This take care of girl friend you said there is rubbish to me, as in a man should take care of a girl because she is a baby that can’t take care of herself. We expect too much from the male gender abeg.
