The association disclosed that negotiation between the association and Dangote Refinery is still ongoing about the pricing strategy.
IPMAN said it had resolved every other issue during its Monday meeting with Dangote Refinery and that Nigerians will feel the impact within the coming days.
This was made known on Tuesday by Yakubu Suleiman, National Assistant Secretary of IPMAN, while fielding questions on Arise Television’s Morning Show programme.
The statement comes after the petroleum marketers said they had finally secured an agreement with Dangote Refinery to lift products directly.
Suleiman said the whole discussion with Africa’s biggest refinery was centered on how Nigerians will get a cheaper petrol price, adding that it bothers IPMAN that Nigerians are buying at the higher rate.

DeleteWe are waiting,no be when you go fuel station to buy fuel you go know the actual price π
ReplyDeleteLol i use to be part of this association... IPMAN prices are slightly higher than the prices of the Major Marketer(nnpc etc) because the government doesn't have says on them, they are all individual owners &government doesn't cover expenses for these guys.
ReplyDeleteIt's what's they buy is what they will sell (adding all expenses on pms
dpk, ago) infact depending on what dangote's decided to sell......
Let dangote decide¡! Na the right word be that.
Goodmorning guys
I agree that IPMAN has their own wahalla, however, Dangote alone cannot decide the price of fuel.
DeleteYou cannot buy cheap crude from Nigeria, refine in Nigeria and then sell to us at the international price of petrol.
That's just sheer wickeness
@Nocturnal dangote is not buying cheap crude& at a point he almost regretted building RF go watch his interviews recently. Alot dey involved in this oil bussiness matter,
DeleteNa weytin him buy he go sell
The DPRs has a convention every refineries in Nigeria stay under, he"dangote" doesn't just pick prices anyhow but on finished product he decide what to sell to consumers every bussiness runs on expenses.
So do not expect miracle this happen all around d world.
Really? Let Dangote decide...I don't think you understand the full weight of this fuel brouhaha....Allowing one man to decide fuel price....Is that not monopoly which other marketers are fighting against....All these na wash because the price will still not reflect our current realities...How long do we have to suffer for a resources that is found abundantly here.....It's not by hoping and praying....It's all talks and nothing significantly will change about the price....
DeleteDangote decide what? See our problem in Nigeria? I don't even like that man entering any sector because he go monopolize & collapse am.

ReplyDeleteHoping the outcome is favourable to all parties- the producer, the sellers and the final consumers.
ReplyDeleteLet the price be reasonable. The pump price controls the market. I pray our business return to normal, make we for dey smile. Wish i could turn back the hands of time when things were better than now.
ReplyDeletePray it's fair enough ππΏ
ReplyDeleteMay the price bring relief to us o. Let it not be the one that will press our necks the more o.
ReplyDeleteOK nah
ReplyDeleteA price above N900 per litre is indeed a concern for many, as it stretches household budgets, increases the cost of transportation, and can lead to higher prices for goods and services across the board. The impact is especially harsh for lower-income households and businesses that rely heavily on fuel.
ReplyDeleteIn many cases, the government may cite global oil prices, exchange rates, or subsidy removals as reasons for the hikes, but it's understandable that people would want more transparency and consideration from the authorities. Ideally, leaders should balance economic realities with the welfare of the citizens, ensuring that any necessary price adjustments are reasonable and that there are supports in place for vulnerable groups.
This is the Oba of the problems of the masses, before dollars sef.
