Europe witnessed some beautiful matches on Friday night in the Uefa Nations League. The biggest winners last night were the Portuguese team as they made a light walk of Poland. Ronaldo scored a brace, Rafael Leao, Pedro Neto and Bruno Fernandez all scored a goal each to breeze past Poland 5-1.

 It was quite interesting seeing a Portugese team dominate their game from start to finish while demolishing their opponent. A goal from Ayoze Perez and Oyarzabal saw Spain defeat Denmark 2-1 last night as well. In other matches, Scotland defeated Croatia 1-0 while Luxembourg lost at home to Bulgaria.

Who saw the boxing bout between Mike Tyson(58) and Jake Paul(27)? Lol! 

Just in case you are wondering how the bout ended? Jake Paul actually defeated Mike Tyson by a unanimous decision in an eight-round heavyweight bout. Judges scored the fight 80-72, 79-73, 79-73 in Paul's favor.

Jake Paul, the YouTube-turned boxer secured a points victory over two-time heavyweight Champion Mike Tyson in a lackluster fight watched by 70,000 fans in Texas and millions reportedly streaming on Netflix.

Paul had to use his youth and athleticism to outmatch a slow and sluggish Tyson, keeping him at range with jabs. Funnily enough, Tyson got a heroic reception before the fight but then, the bout ended with loud boos from the crowd. Tyson should just go and relax. 

He is 58 for heaven's sake, I know he must have made some cool money from that bout but he should now have some rest and enjoy whatever left of the money he has had.

The 27-year-old, who won the bout in front of 70,000 spectators at the AT&T Stadium, is set for a $40 million payment while 58-year-old Tyson is expected to make $20 million.

Former Falconets striker, Opeyemi Ajakaye has sealed a loan move to USL Super League club, Carolina Ascent FC.

Ajakaye moved to Carolina Ascent from another USL club, Kansas City.

The 18-year-old previously played for Robo Queens and Madrid CFF.

She was part of NigerIa’s Flamingos side that came third at the 2022 FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup in India.

She expressed her delight after making the switch.

Ghana will not play in the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) in Morocco.

This follows a 1-1 draw against Angola on Friday.

The Black Stars took the lead in the 18th minute thanks to a stunning free-kick by Jordan Ayew.

However, substitute Zini found himself unmarked in the box and headed home the equaliser.

Zini’s goal has effectively extinguished Ghana’s chances of qualifying.

The West African nation will be absent from the AFCON tournament for the first time since 2004.

Angola however secured their spot, while Sudan remains on track to qualify with a point in their final match. Niger also has an outside chance if they can beat Ghana and Sudan suffers a loss.

Super Eagles caretaker coach, Augustine Eguavoen, has excused Stanley Nwabali from the team’s 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying match against Rwanda.

The Chippa United lost his father on Friday morning at the age of 67.

Eguavoen now has two goalkeepers, Maduka Okoye and Amas Obasogie available for the game.

The Super Eagles will host the Rwandans at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium, Uyo on Monday.
