Court Orders JAMB And Universities To Admit All Qualified 2024 UTME Candidates

A Delta State High Court in Warri has ordered Nigerian universities to admit all candidates who passed the 2024 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).
This includes candidates who will turn 16 between September 1, 2025, and December 31, 2025. The court’s decision also restrains the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB) from enforcing its previous directive that set a minimum admissible age of 16 years.
This ruling ensures that all qualified candidates can begin their university education without delay.
