Chronicle Of Blog Visitor Narrative - UPDATE

 Hmmmm.....

''Thank you, Stella, for creating this meaningful platform. My story is long, but I will try to make it as short as I can. This chronicle is an update to the one I sent 4 years ago. A lot has happened during this period. I am the lady who lost her husband to the cold hands of death, a pain I pray no one should go through.

After making that post, you reached out to me, asking my permission to be contacted by a blog visitor. I agreed. This lady was an angel in human form. Often, after funeral arrangements and rites are performed, people move on, and you, the bereaved, are left to face your demons. Losing my husband is a tragedy I am yet to recover from. I hit rock bottom, and my mental health was a mess. I was depressed and hallucinated often. In reality, I was losing myself, as I couldnt function properly. It was at this sad stage in my life that I got a message from this lady, who for this write-up I will refer to as ES and MT as myself. She introduced herself and asked how I fared. We spoke every day as she kept praying for me and sending comforting messages.

She was there in my weakest moment; she cared so much about my child and gave suggestions on how to care for her. My parents are great, they were also there for me even though we were all mourning. They were grieving too and are emotional people, so I tried moving away from them, as being closer to them gave me a constant reminder of our loss. On this fateful day, in December 2020, ES asked me what help she could render to me. I had no answer to give, so I just sent a smiling emoji because to me she was doing more than I could have imagined. I had someone who was like a sister and to whom I could pour out my heart. It was a blessing.

A week later, I received a message on WhatsApp; it read, ''Good morning, MT; I guess you had a good nights rest. I think the best way I can help is for you to relocate. Your surroundings keep reminding you of your loss. It will be good for you to experience a new environment.
This was unexpected. I replied with a smile and a good morning. She told me she was serious, and I was to write my IELTS. I took the test and passed. She was excited and happy for me. ES was there every step of the way to make sure I got the required documents for my application. She helped fill out my forms and made all the corrections. She supported me both emotionally and financially. All this time, I couldnt believe what was going on. Everything was happening too fast; it amazed me. To be honest, I was never serious about the application process, but this woman was determined to support me despite my nonchalant behavior.

The day I sent the chronicle to Stella after my husbands passing was an abnormal day. I had this strange urge to write my story, but I kept dismissing it. I tried reading myself to sleep, but I couldnt. I heard this voice saying, ''Get up and write'';. After tossing and turning and no sleep, I succumbed and wrote my story. Only after that did I fall asleep. It still amazes me to think about that day. It was strange...

Because my IELT result was delayed, I missed the application deadline. This woman cried oh and told me not to give up and that we would try again. Fast forward to 2021; she made sure I applied. It was successful, and my application was approved. With medical exams and a police clearance report sent, I was given a visa to Canada. We held a video call when I received the package of my stamped visa from the Canadian Embassy. We opened it together, and her excitement was out of this world. I have never seen someone rejoice over the success of another like this lady does. Chai, she is an exceptional beauty and a rare gem. The real definition of "Women supporting women" . Shes happily married with kids and holds a reputable office in Canada. To me, this was all a dream I was trying to wake up from. 

When I took the leap and moved to Canada, I knew it would be challenging, but what I didn’t expect was how meaningful it would be to have a friend like ES by my side. Moving to a new country is a daunting task, but having a supportive friend makes all the difference. From the initial stages of planning to the final
moments of packing, she was there every step of the way, offering guidance, encouragement, and endless patience. She even helped pay for my ticket. Her husband has always been behind the scenes,supporting and sometimes stepping in to make things easy. Finding such people in this world is a blessing for which Im grateful.

ES helped me navigate paperwork, gave me a place to live, and helped me settle into a completely new environment. More than just helping with logistics, ES gave me the confidence to pursue this dream, reminding me of my strength and resilience. Her family gave me a warm welcome, and they;re very
supportive in helping me settle down. 

They are a kind and wonderful family. Her kids are amazing and fun to be with (I love them so much). ES made sure I got a job. 

Last month, I signed a job contract. Their kindness and willingness to help made me realize how lucky I am to have someone like them in my life. 

I speak to my child almost every day and I miss her a lot. ES wanted me to travel with her, but I thought it would be too burdensome for her. I will hopefully bring her over after I get my PR. 

Today is her birthday (ES); please help me wish her a happy birthday. She is a calm and private person; (she is that Proverbs 31 woman) a true queen. Ive learned so much from her and keep learning. The other day we went to the store close to the house to get some items for my apartment. She was specific about telling me what I should get; upon reaching the store, she told me ''today you will shop alone''. That was my first time in that store. I got the wrong product as she waited in the car. Upon seeing me come out of the store, she got down and said I got the wrong product (We burst into laughter). Both of us are naturally shy people who don;t want attention, so I was surprised when she got into the store and asked the sales lady to give me the correct item. It was funny and interesting. She is highly intelligent and organized. 

She plans and is a hard-working woman. They are a Christian family and have proven to be true followers of Christ. Im proud to have met them. I help the family in the best possible way. I can not repay their act of kindness.

Thanks to God for making it possible. My encounter that night before writing my story, I believe, was the voice of God. Thanks to ES and her husband for creating a path of success for me and giving me a new beginning. Thanks to you Stella and all blog visitors.
