  1. I think this question has been posted before.
Nigerian marriage favour men most, women will carry pregnancy, take care of the children, the house and still expected to support the husband financially.

    It favors men more,
A woman will change her, her body changes due to childbirth and so many others.

  4. Marriage favours both men and women equally because they need each other to build a family.

  5. Both of them, at early stage, it's favor the man, name changes, children bearing his name, the woman carrying the pregnancy and taking care of the house but later the woman benefits more than the man. The children takes care of their mother than their dad. Pls it's my opinion.

  7. It definitely favours the men in this part of the world. Nothing really changes about them, and women are expected to endure all the nonsense being thrown at them

  8. Marriage in my opinion favours the men more than the women. Most men still live as if they are still single even though they are married, while the women lost some of their personalities because they got married

  13. This question should be case-based. If you got more value from the union, then it favoured you. In some unions, the women got more value, whereas in some cases, the men got more value.

    1. Well said.
Marriage that turns the lives of a woman and all members of her father's household around for best favours the husband only?
Flip the turnaround, it favours the wife only?

  16. Yet, the typical Nigerian woman arranging her marriage ceremonies goes about it as if she is preparing for relocation to heaven; dances like a spindle at the celebration, runs kati kati over may husband, my husband.

    1. Your post is hilarious but laden with simple truth. It favors men more than women yen yen yen and they take the ceremony as if there’s no tomorrow. Hypocrites.

  17. Marriage is fundamentally a partnership where both partners contribute in their unique ways to make it work. The roles and responsibilities may differ, but they are equally significant in creating a harmonious and thriving relationship.

Traditionally, men often take on more financial responsibilities, while women frequently focus on managing the home and caring for the children. However, modern dynamics have brought more flexibility, with many couples choosing to share financial burdens, parenting duties, and household tasks. This mutual effort strengthens the bond and ensures no one feels overburdened or undervalued.

The essence of a successful marriage lies in respect, and appreciation for each other's contributions, no matter how those roles are defined or distributed. Both partners should feel valued and supported in their roles, leading to a balanced and fulfilling partnership.
