Christmas shoes and clothes wasn't really a big deal. But you see braiding our hair, that was IT for us.
ReplyDeleteMy mum buys new cloths and shoes for us every Christmas. I usually looked forward to Christmas because of the new cloths and plenty orishirishi. May God rest her beautiful soul.

My mum used to buy our Christmas clothes and shoes in August before things get expensive. It was nice, but it took the fun out of Christmas a little bit
ReplyDeleteMy parents bought whenever they have the money, but when they don't have, we wear our old ones and we are happy. Nobody cried over not getting Christmas clothes. And I have taught my children same.

But it will always be Tutle neck cloth with long sleeves infact she has special Tailor that sowed that kind of Cloth..

My mum used to buy our Christmas clothes early around October and she will hide them till Christmas day. One year i got to know where she hides them. Once i come back from school na me and the dress. I will wear and waltz up and down my mum's room. On Christmas day when my mum brought out my own, e don so dirty, white almost turned black. I got the beating of my life that Christmas.

When I was about 11 years old,I wanted platform shoes for Xmas.They got it for me.on Xmas day,I couldn't walk in it.i had to carry the shoes in my hand.
