Actress Ebele Okaro Reveals Spelling Of Her Name

Veteran Nollywood actress Ebele Okaro has called out people who pronounce her name wrongly, referring to her as 'Ebere' instead of 'Ebele'.
She posted a video of herself on a wheelchair from a movie set and noted that even though they mean the same thing, she isn't comfortable with her name being mispronounced.

    1. As an anambra lady I dislike that ebere thing eh
It is ebele, amala, chiemelie or chinemelum
The ' R' sounds too heavy and annoying in the mouth

  5. Hmmm thought she was educated
There is no Igbo word like ebele
It's Anambra people that have r problem that usually use L in her name

Same thing as okeleke instead of
    Okereke

    1. 🀣🀣🀣 You obviously ignorant....You should know that aside from the language, we also have ''dialect''.....These are Igbo names: Ebere and Ebele....Ebele tells you that person is from Anambra while Ebere is from Imo, Abia.....

    2. You thought she was educated? If that question necessary?

If you were from Anambra, and you were to bear thesame name 'Ebere', you know it would have been Ebele for you based on the fact that you are from Anambra right?

You know 'English' and 'British' spell some words which have same pronunciation differently right?

  8. People prefer to bear their names differently. I know a lady that gets angry if you call her Amara, she prefers to be called Amala.
