So how do non government workers pay?
ReplyDeleteMoney for church is collected from my hubbys salary every month and he is not a govt worker.......
DeleteHow do you know who is a Christian?
ReplyDeleteA good place to start...Abi so because person bear Austin, any Igbo name e.t.c will automatically a Christian in their own eyes....🤣🤣 This should make funny post column abeg
DeleteI think there would be a form filled in the work place in regards religion/agreement/amount to be deducted etc.I don't know, just saying...
DeleteThey should know na,every worker should have a profile
DeleteGood question. Unless they'll be profiling with HR on religion/preference of worship. Nawa
Delete🤣🤣🤣🤣 Shebi they said the church is different from the state.....This Tithe matter ehn, I wonder this inordinate obsession....People can barely survive and all that matters is collecting tithe....Religion is truly the opium of the people....
ReplyDeleteDon't mind them Phoenix, they want to chase true believers from the Church like this.
DeleteSo that govt will get more money to loot shey???
DeleteIf anybody commot one kobo for my money, you go see craze. No tighing for me, I rather give voluntarily to God (2Cor 9:7)
ReplyDeleteStella it is not entirely the way you put it. Tithe is 10%, nobody deducts 10% from salaries for churches.
ReplyDeleteWhat happens is that, a fraction of the taxes deducted from you taxes is given to an organisation of your choice. i.e Say they deduct 35% taxes and then there is this 2% or 5% of this 35% you have to give to an organisation (acknowledged by the government) of your choice. It can be a publicly funded University or scientific research institution, it can be a charity home, it can be a church. In europe these days, most people choose to give to the Universities.
In Nigeria, the church wud not clamor that tithe be given to any university, they want it to go to them.
DeleteIs tithe now mandatory
ReplyDeleteUmmmmmm 🤔
ReplyDeleteTithe shouldn't be mandatory
I am a tither but i don't support this. Remember God loves a cheerful giver and even if people refuse to give to His house, He is God.
ReplyDeleteIs not fair biko, Church is in the mind they say mostly and I think everyone do things according to how the spirit directs and believe too, you can't deduct tight from a staff that is not interested in it or is not willing to pay, after all it left for the person and her God Sha.
ReplyDeleteStella can you explain what you mean by ' this is how it should be'
ReplyDeleteIt stops the pastors from enriching themselves with the peoples money....offering is still taken in church but given out of free will.
Deletepastors get their salaries directly from the city
DeleteStella they will still guilt people for more
DeleteGovt will still loot the money....tithe should be voluntary,if it's by force, then it doesn't make sense anymore
DeleteThis is a big lie. Nothing of such anywhere. I support tithing with my full chest and i pay too but you can't tell organisation to deduct tithe from people's earning. its absolute wrong.
ReplyDeleteI doubt this story sha.
God abeg ooo🙄🙄🙄
ReplyDeleteDon’t worry, guys, he’s not a Nigerian Archbishop—he’s Ugandan.
ReplyDeleteI took the time to read the full story in Punch Newspaper, and here are some excerpts of what he said:
"Whenever we ask for tithe, everyone gives only what they have at that time. But the Bible says a tenth of whatever you earn belongs to the church,” Archbishop Lwanga stated. "Give me your support as I push for this proposal because it is good for us. Aren’t you tired of putting money in the baskets all the time?" He also added, "I was told that in Germany, people made agreements with their government to deduct monthly tithes from their salaries and forward it to the church. They use this money to build and renovate their churches.”
I’m sorry, but it still doesn’t make sense to me to mandate something that should be done out of free will.
Hmmmmm
ReplyDeleteHello iya Boys
Hehehehehe
ReplyDeleteIs it now forcefully done, that's nt what God's word said o
ReplyDeleteThe question is.....is this the right time for this? This economy is suffocating lot of people. Abeg, people need to breathe & live first before talking about tithe. Humanity first.
ReplyDeleteWahala 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
ReplyDeleteHow will the tithe be remitted to the church. Nigeria system is a different ball game compare to Europe Stella
ReplyDeleteTithe is something you give to God cheerfully. .
ReplyDeleteAbeg dis one no follow
Fools everywhere ! Is tithe matter 🤔 that will kill of you; that have left every other part of the scriptures; to focus on only tithe!
ReplyDeleteIs it Pastors that are stealing the country dry! Living abroad is not a sign of exposure at all! some people still reason like illiterates!
Any government that tries these nonsense with me; anywhere in the world will meet me in court!
Let God judge the pastors doing evil!
Is not my call! What most western companies do; is they ask you; which charity of your choice; are you willing to give to! Not just deducting monies from people's accounts !
Dullards everywhere; who only use their craftiness for nonsense analysis!!!
