I was going to reply pinky concerning what he posted yesterday on ihn but I was too lazy to type.
ReplyDeleteI use to have a student like that, when his dad came to me and said I should please teach his son, I thought it was just normal. Actually the last time I thought was nysc days, after that I have never given it a thought. I know he approached me because he knows my mum was a teacher and aspa graduate now.
I actually rejected it, he then told me the boy could not read nor spell, what! I was moved. How old, he said fifteen. See ehn, sometimes is not parents persay, children like this are special need children. I later understand that this my boy is DYSLEXIC.
I started teaching him from the scratch, A,B,C,D, etc it was not easy at all. Sometimes I want to run mental because they can be slow but they need patience. The teacher who will teach that boy needs to understand how to teach a dyslexic child. From bottom to top. That movie "Like stars on earth" also helped me better.
Wo I don taya to type jare. I could write 50pages about them.
Another thing is they love to learn but, will loose interest when u force it.
I hope this helps and O yes! My boy now reads and can identify words.
Well written, firstly, he should be checked for Dyslexia and if he has it, he will need a special teacher to teach him.

It’s better to land a good role rather than resign after some weeks and start all over again.
But why are some employers not straight forward? You take a candidate through series of interviews for a specific position and later in the offer letter, you sandwich other roles that aren’t part of their job description into the offer letter.
May God help us in this county. Labor laws are practically non existent and nobody follows them.

Less skill leads to less enthusiasm and eventually to discontent. If we reach this stage, we start looking behind us because that's where our best days are. We think about the good old days, the glory days. At that point, we're only a few short steps from obsolescence.
