Pastor Adeboye Apologises For Saying If You Don't Pay Tithes You Wont Go To Heaven

Pastor Enoch Adeboye, the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), has apologized for saying that Christians who don’t pay tithes might not make it to heaven. He clarified that this claim was a mistake and not supported by the Bible and emphasized that the Bible states that peaceful and holy living are the prerequisites for making it to heaven...

So its not by force but by choice to pay Tithes!...WOW!!!

    2. Hey there! Could it be that when he made that statement as the highest-ranked individual of his congregation, he didn't realize it wasn't supported by the Bible? Just curious!

    2. "Papa you guys should stop yarning nonsense online nah" - If you can't say these words to your biological father then please don't say it to this man. For crying out loud this man is old enough to be your father. He might be wrong but that doesn't mean you should disrespect him 😫

  4. Stella, tithing is a practise in Judaism to take care of the Levites and the poor but some Pastors made it 'their own doctrine/tradition' in Christianity.

I appreciate Pastor E. A. Adeboye for admitting that he made a wrong statement about paying of tithe.

It takes humility to acknowledge mistakes and apologise when one is wrong.
Humility is a mark of greatness before God.

    2. True.
People should also strive to know God for themselves. Have a personal relationship with Him so when their pastors say anything they can't find in the Bible, they would not be swayed. It is not helping that a lot of people only open their Bibles when they step foot in church.

    3. I just watched the full IG video he did some reverse psychology there...He made mention of an increase to 20%, 30% and 40% tithing for advanced level givers that 10% is at beginners level....😂😂😂

    4. @saint, you saw what he did right? That is not an apology, but re strategizing and still manipulating those who follow them. Trying to add to the bible by saying beginners should pay 10% while veterans should pay more.

  5. So if he wasn't called out, and the whole disinformation swallowed, would he had apologized?

Staying away from these whole church shenanigans was the best that ever happened to me. Let me commune to God like I have always done.

My friend that attends Rhema Bible School told me this a long time ago, that paying tithes is old testament. Few times I followed her to that Bible School, I started seeing the Bible differently.

  9. It's only those who doesn't read the Bible that will be swayed by this type of words ....know the Almighty God by yourself, read your Bible and ask the sweet HolySpirit for the revelation of what you read

I like the fact that he apologized, nobody is above mistake

  10. That's my Daddy. He will always apologize when he makes mistake. No man is above mistake. The only time Jesus talked about tithe was when he told the Jews that they forget the wealthier things of the law like Holiness and focus more on tithing

It's good to pay tithe. That's if you want to enjoy the Jewish blessings like Abraham. But that doesn't mean that God will not bless you

    1. What’s paying tithe if you want to enjoy Jewish blessings like Abraham? Do you even understand what Abraham’s blessing is at all? The blessing of Abraham is far from being material blessing. It’s blessing of righteousness. Bible says Abraham believed God and it was accounted for him as righteousness. Now this blessing of righteousness (nay external redemption) is now extended to everyone who believes in Jesus as his Lord and Savior, whether Jew or non-Jew.

    2. @straight guy it is *weightier matters of the law* (Matthew 23:23)...not.. "wealthier things* of the law" .

@17:37 thank you for putting @straight guy straight on the correct meaning of the blessings of Abraham. 👍🏾😁

@straight guy study the Bible book of Hebrews and Romans to understand thus more. Thank you for the understanding you already have on these topics - tithes and Abraham's blessings ✌🏾

  12. The stress these institutions have placed on the poor for centuries by guilting them into tithes paying. Imagine being dirt poor or barely surviving and being told you may not make it to heaven because you are not paying tithes, can’t even find what to survive on but someone wants to tell you about tithes.

Mr. Wigwe put billions into his church community, any call he answered in a large way and look what they did to him and his family at the end.

  16. I pay tithe because it's a covenant I have with God not because if what Pastors say. I started tithing even before I joined a pentecostal church and then I usually give my tithe lepers and the needy before I started thinking in church and God has been faithful.
Well done Daddy, it takes a lot of humility for a great man like you to make this kind of apology.

  17. The man was sarcastic about the whole issue and everyone is saying he apologized. Please take a look at the video again and observe the pride with which he spoke and said you could be right and wrong at the same time and concluded by saying people should give violently. He is too old to operate in this form. Let him retrace his steps for good. Remember judgement will start from the house of God and God saw the deception that was going on there from time immemorial.

    1. I made a comment earlier about his humility and greatness because I did not and have not seen the video.

If indeed Pastor E. A. Adeboye did not present his earlier *'hell sentence'* for non-tithe paying Christians, then HE IS NOT ABOVE GOD and GOD'S WORD.

Christians study the Bible by yourself SO THAT NO MAN BEGUILE YOU. Colossians 2:18

THE LOVE OF MONEY IS THE ROOT OF ALL EVIL

      1 Timothy 6:10
For *the love of money* is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.

      2 Peter 2:3
And *through covetousness* shall they *with feigned words* MAKE MERCHANDISE OF YOU : whose judgment now of a long time lingereth not, and their damnation slumbereth not. 📓📚
