NNPC Reportedly Quits Role As Sole Buyer Of Dangote Petrol

The Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited, NNPCL, has reportedly quit its role as the sole buyer of Dangote Refinery’s Premium Motor Spirit (petrol).
This implies that petroleum marketers would have to purchase petrol directly from Dangote Refinery....
 Is this good news?

  1. Yes, it is good news. One of the " middlemen" has been cut off.
If Dangote can sell directly to consumers ( via his filling stations) then all the middlemen will be out, and we start buying at producer's price.

Dangote does not want to sell directly to consumers.

  3. Meaning it's a free market economy. No subsidy. Marketers can buy anywhere. I see the price coming up but later going down
