The court, presided over by Ustaz Ibrahim Sarki Yola, has scheduled Tuesday to commence a hearing on the allegation of adultery against the suspended Jigawa State Commissioner, Auwal Danladi Sankara and Tasleem Baba Nabegu.
The complainant, Alhaji Nasiru Buba, lodged a direct complaint before the court, alleging suspicion that Sankara and his wife, Tasleem, the mother of his two children, have been engaging in illicit affairs, which is against Islamic law.
The Kano State Hisbah Board last Thursday announced that it arrested Auwal Sankara with the married woman in an uncompleted building belonging to him at Lamido Crescent in Nassarawa GRA within the Kano metropolis.
This prompted Jigawa State Governor Umar Namadi to suspend the embattled commissioner and set up a five-member panel to investigate the case that has become an embarrassment to the state.
However, the court registrar on Monday informed the parties that the case was slated for Tuesday.
Speaking to reporters, counsel to the complainant, Barrister Sa’idu Muhammad Tudu Wada, represented by Barrister Haruna Magashi, said:
“Our client is urging the court to investigate the relationship between his wife and the defendant over the alleged commission of crime for criminal prosecution or whatsoever.”
On his part, counsel to Danladi Sankara, Barrister Shehu Sadam Suleiman, said his client was surprised to read on social media and the electronic media that he was arrested by the Kano State Hisbah Board on allegations of having an illicit affair with Tasleem Baba Nabegu, the wife of Nasiru Buba, who is the complainant before the court.
“It is important for journalists and the public to note that this is a matter of ‘direct criminal complaint’ against our client, not a matter instituted by Kano State Hisbah Board as per the records of the court and what we know. This is a direct criminal complaint against our client and the complainant’s wife,” said Suleiman.
The lawyer said his client is completely innocent and is eager to appear in court to defend his name.

Hello iya Boys
Oh God
ReplyDeleteThis is not ending well
Not for her it will not. She better cry out to Allah for mercies and miracles because a married woman with children is held to a higher moral standard than a single childless one. They could literally not let her ever see the children again. And dude is likely gonna hold on to his own marriage. She is toast.
DeleteToast? Men are aplenty.

ReplyDeleteHis Cup don Full shaa
They should ask the woman if its true nah.
ReplyDeleteSo many of them are doing it but na who dem catch be adulterer.
You need 4 witnesses to substantiate adultery. That's where there will be a problem. Commissioner's wife will hold unto her husband and his uncompleted building while his partner in crime will feel the fire at home and outside for the rest of her life while her husband's side chic will be full of rejoicing.
