CHRONICLE OF A MARRIED MAN

Some women just overdo it!!!

One time, my neighbour was gifted a DSTV decoder with dish. The former owner was leaving the country. He told me he needed someone to fix it, asked if I had anyone. I advised him try and fix it himself instead of spending money to do it, he should check the other neighbour's own for guidance.
His wife who was outside said " this one, he cannot fix anything o, unlike his fellow men". He gave her this cursory look. I later gave him an electrician's number.
Minutes later, I overheard them quarrelling. I knew what that woman said would lead to a fight, the insult was not necessary.

In my house, I'm the mechanic, electrician, plumber, carpenter, painter, name it. I can fix any minor fault in the house, my wife calls me jack of all trades. My sister is the same, she services the small generator she uses in her shop by herself, changes wall sockets, fixes little plumbing faults, etc.
We do these things because our dad was like that, he taught us some of them while we also added some other skills on our own.

Women , pls leave your men alone. We cannot all be the same. It is not a must that he should do these things in order to be regarded as a full man, cherish the other things he does for you.
Men, if your wife cannot change a light bulb, leave her alone. It is not a must. Manage the other things that she does in the house. Let there be peace.
So bvs, what do you fix in your house?

In fact it is inborn in a man to fix those things, its like a guy telling me he cant change socket omo me and you na woman.
I have zero respect for excuses that is inbuilt in a man abeg

  6. My elder brother and dad are both handy men, they try to fix anything fixable before calling the real workers while my ex hubby can't even iron or wash his clothes/Car let alone fix anything around the home but it was never an issue while married.

  7. This can never be a problem in my home, just give me the money, before u get back it's fix..
I can change socket, fix pipes, made my kitchen cabinet, and can fix most of my electric items, learnt from my dad.
For some, I end up causing more damage 😂..
But that is a wrong thing to say to ur husband in front of another man..

  17. I usually change oil for my shop generator. So I do not spend so much unless there is major servicing or repairs.
    My children taught me.

  18. The issue is the woman is too disrespectful. What she said shouldn't even be said to a child. That's how some women will damage their husband's self esteem word by word until the man flees from their toxicity.
