Hmmmm....

STAND ALONE NARRATIVE
ADVICE NEEDED
Hubby earns N1Mmillion in this economy and he's not really interested in relocating, we live in north central state where nothing much is there for me to explore in terms of work, so I'm a stay at home mum, though I don't lack anything, how do I make him see reason why we have to relocate abroad?  N1Millon is nothing in this economy!!!!

What makes you think abroad is the solution? Do you know how it is to relocate with a family? IT IS DIFFUCLT and the man may never find his feet..most people that make it need to leave their families and relocate first...would you want that?some may even go and not return to their wives becos they remarry to find their feet....leave him to make that move and dont force him else you may regret it::You are complaining for selfish reasons, open provision store in front of the house for now, interact more with people to busy yourself and let him think

  1. See your ungrateful mouth like 1mil is nothing in this economy. I know families earning 50k a month in this economy so shut up. You think abroad is heaven where you get there everything is bliss. Just leave that man alone and go earn 1mil by yourself if e easy .mchew

Abroad isn't heaven one must have a proper plan. Don't do things because others are doing it.

At this point, you could asked Stella for her name and she will reply with provision shop. Hahahahaha 🀣🀣🀣

  4. @Stella 🀣🀣🀣🀣 you and opening provision stall near your house.....

Poster while I understand your japa option based on how Nigeria has turned out, I am more concerned about you and rightly said, 1 million is 'not enough' however I see you are comfortable with your status quo; because your husband earns a lot does not mean you won't have something going on in your life...You can't depend solely on husband's income because Life can happen to anyone...

To japa you need skills or you think you will eventually japa without bringing some income on the table...My advice is get something doing, develop a skill or get a job, don't depend on your husband for everything...Focus more in building your family with your husband..

    All the best

  6. Women!
I pity this innocent husband of yours.
Is it that we don't have sensible and reasonable women again? Must he do your bidding of relocating? What's so special? Because he earns 1m he should do big things that's how you all live miserably and above your means.the young man is doing fine and living content fully with a grateful mind but too sad he has a foolish wife that he is yet to find out.
Get out! Foolish women are the burden of men.

    1. Don't mind her! Is about purchasing power! What 1m will do for you monthly in Nigeria! $10,000 will not do it in America! I have lived across continents! If you live in the silicon valley earning 250k per annum! Only rent of 2 bedroom in San fran is about 5200 with utilities, before other expenses o!
I have lived in the most expensive cities in the world!
I am taking about London, New York and San Francisco! And other cities in the Middle East!
Do you know where I live now? A river side apartment in one region in Nigeria @ working remotely!
I took time out to come and cool my head in Nigeria!
      I still work globally!
My dear take Stella's advise and make yourself useful!
I am a woman! Make una nor dey carry dream wey una family nor fit accomplish put for man head! The man is earning one million! Focus on building and nurturing your family! Abroad life! Now state go train your children! Telling them they can be any gender! Thank God for your husband's earning power in current day Nigeria.

If you are so keen on getting something doing, you can learn a skill and get a job online/remotely. It truly pays. I've been working remotely for the past 9 months and it's the best decision I've ever made.
Please don't put a lot of pressure on your husband, so he doesn't end up doing something he might regret.

    4. Sorry for the late reply. I work as a scriptwriter and earn money on Upwork.

What you need to do is learn a skill, and then you can earn in hard currency. The good thing about this is that, because the exchange rate is so high, no matter how little you earn, it’s still far better than what you would earn in naira.

Is it because he is earning 1 m, you think 1m can be enough to relocate?
Have you gotten a job for him abroad?

It's like the North Central that you live is not making you know what's up

  13. You can start the process of relocation,If you're so keen about it. Our family friend started a course in care giving job and after certification. She also helped her husband to get a job. The husband who was reluctant to go,joined her. Relocation is a lot of process not a walk in the park.

    1. Thank you for advising reasonably. 1 million is nothing for someone already used to some standard of living. I know a couple that were earning more than a million and with time, they couldn’t afford what they were used to: traveling yearly, top schools for the kids, filling the Gen, and maintaining the cars, eating a balanced diet and still saving on top. They cut their losses and left. They are doing very very well in the country they relocated to.
Nigerians have a culture of suffering and smiling, managing until your back breaks. There’s nothing wrong in dreaming for a better situation than what you have. Richest man still dey hustle o. There’s nothing wrong with how you feel poster. Start the process, who knows maybe one day he would see reason and you would have been almost done with the process by that time. Good luck.
PS: try to start earning or saving

  15. Yes you need to start from somewhere. Just have a grocery store around you and get busy to kill boredom

  16. In this economy, one million is still something, some people are not even earning up to quarter of it and they're coping, not everybody that relocates will make it, abroad isn't automatical paradise, some people are living large here and living like slaves after relocation.
Even if he wants to relocate, let him relocate at his own will, don't force him, so that he will prepare for anything that comes his way.
As for your own, you can be selling stuff online, or be doing remote job, if you have the skills.

  18. My dear relocation is not easy especially with your family. If you now have little ones; just be keeping money for childcare.
I believe in that area you are at, there must be things you can get busy. If you don't have space for provision store like Stella suggested, you can start online business.
If you want to travel abroad with your family, travel when you're financially stable and ready.
It is not about the fine fine pictures taken in fine fine backgrounds; you must be ready ready.

1m a month = 120 m in a year, plus allowances here and there. If channeled well, its very good in this economy.
Madam, have you thanked God for this. Thank Him and you will see why you are blessed.

  21. Only a woman suffering from bankruptcy of ideas can sit down and type this tripe. You want your husband to move? Why should he? So he can carry a liability like you along? You didn't see work to do. Business nko? Or that's too beneath you?
I don't blame you. Na your husband dey tolerate you.

  22. We will soon have a provision store on this blog. Poster, have you tried to do something apart from getting a job in order to support your man?
I think you also need to make more effort concerning the relocation since your man isn't so keen about it, maybe that could help change his mind or you both would reach a middle ground.

    ReplyDelete
  23. For every one good story of ppl who japa and are making it, there are probably 2 or 3 bad ones that nobody ever talk about. You are situated in a safer state where you stated nothing much is happening. Your husband earns an exceptionally good income compared to most of the population. Yet, you would prefer to go into someone else’s country to be a third or fifth class citizen instead of you living in the honour that you have where you are. Didn’t you read about the anti immigration sentiments growing in some of these places, the high cost of living and even economic recessions some of them are going through. Not to mention the mental health problems some immigrants experience.

Do not let boredom cause you to create stress in your household. Even volunteering your time is always an option. Being of service and building your community is always in style. Learn a trade, go back to school. There are ways to use your time that are all positive and doesn’t involve creating problems in your marriage. If your husband is. It in agreement then leave him alone. Build love and togetherness in your marriage not stress and division. Nigeria is not hell and these outside countries are not heaven.

  31. Poster the same data you are using to complain about your husband is the same one others are using to make money. There are so many free courses on youtube for you to watch so you can learn remote work/ But your own na japa. You have no clue! Japa means no house help, obeying the rules, doing whatever you can for survival in the early days. Do you have children? That one na another wahala. Making sure you live in a good catchment area so they can go to good schools. You cannot beat them anyhow, shout at them etc without the school notifying the authorities. On top of that you have to monitor them socially and academically to make sure they don;t fall into a bad crowd and the trap of the police. Think well o and don;t be a foolish woman.
