Actress Ayo Mogaji Tells Women Over 35 Years Old To Choose Motherhood Over Marriage

Veteran Yoruba Nollywood actress, Binta Ayo Mogaji, has advised women above 35 years to get pregnant outside wedlock.....

The 60-year-old actress stated this during an interview on Oyinmomo TV.
Sharing her thoughts on marriage, motherhood, and societal pressures, the actress who welcomed her first child at age 40, encouraged single women over 35 to having children outside wedlock if they desire motherhood.
Magaji further emphasized the need for women to prioritize motherhood over societal expectations.
“What I’m saying is, once you are 35 or older and you don’t have a husband, but there is someone in your life who is not ready for marriage but wants a child, have a child with him, even if he won’t accept responsibility for the child.
“When she is looking for a husband at 35, they will say she is too old and won’t be able to wash clothes for her mother-inlaw or be controlled. The man will be advised to find a younger lady to listen to him.
“And if she is fortunate to get married, she’ll already be old before her child grows up. While some people already became grandmothers at 45 or 50, you are still looking for a husband, when will you find a husband and become a grandmother?
“So, my advice is, if God blesses you with someone who likes you and you can have children together, go ahead and do it as long as you desire a child and can take care of the child. But if you cannot find a man to impregnate you, then consider adoption.”

    1. Is all the way good point and to a certain point. Gone were the days when people get married before they have kids. You can have your kids all by yourself as long as you can financially afford it. Reason why she said that is because there is a lot of complications with having kids after 40 years of age

    2. The whole benefit of ' Marriage ' is children.
A divorcee will console himself with the fact he has kids/kid
      A widower same.
Couples separated will also feel same way to some extent .
The deception in this institution called marriage is too much.
Have your kids and pray God keeps them.

Loneliness sers in ..this is why you have MIL who are busy bodies in their children's marriage, they are lonely, frustrated and sex-starved!

  5. She is right though, but let everyone do whatever works for them. Some people actually don't want to have children or get married, they just want to make a lot of money, travel the world and live peaceful and healthy life .

  6. And where is the position of God in all this her advice that most people are agreeing with?
So it is safe to say that a man that has graduated from school foe many years and has tried his best, and no form of employment is forthcoming and he really needs to fend for himself and his family is also excused to steal right?

    1. They can adopt a child, if it suits them or they desire such. I think the message is more about prioritizing motherhood after a certain age. If an individual knows that premarital sex is against their values system then they should not follow any advice that would place them in a position to break their beliefs.

There are many in the nation whose religious and spiritual beliefs are very different from those of popular religions, for them this message would be perfectly fine.

    3. So being adults changes what God said? Well at least in my religion, the standard of God never ever changes. The reason why i would never tire to send the reminder of what God is because someone out there, needs just this little reminder to make up their mind, secondly, if they are free to push their agenda, i don’t see why ppl like me would be restricted to also remind ppl of God.

      Madam, we've heard you.
Nollywood and who cares? Later in life, they'll realize that it surely matters.
      Christian families don't tolerate such.
Lower your standards a little, your own husband is waiting.
      Be wise ladies.
