What do you think about this Christian drama ethic?

  1. One day, when I am calmer and able to organize my thoughts, I will write about the profound harm this man and his religious extremism inflicted on the minds of impressionable kids from the '90s and early 2000s with his so-called "Christian Movies."

Titles like Isawururu, Iamatanger, and other similar works perpetuated the harmful narrative that Christians should be governed by fear—fear of hellfire and a wrathful God.

I'll also explore the damaging influence of Nollywood movies from that same era, drawing connections between their portrayals and the rise of beliefs in ritual money, killings, and what we now refer to as Yahoo+.

That day is coming, but not today.

For now, all I can say is, may God punish this man.

    1. EB things, @ Christians now not governed by the fear of hell fire is the reason why they do any how now. For instance, go to any eatery or creamery, The ones that come scantily clad nonΓ΄e needs to tell u they are the Christian ladies, anyone that comes fully covered, wt head covering and all, ur first instict will be na muslim lady, try it one day. Secondly, this issue of fornication and baby mama endemic that is disturbing the Christian world. They openly tell you they can’t marry wtout testing, if ur biological clock is ticking n no marriage in sight, jst get a man n get pregnant shikenan. Y do u think so, bcos of this ur narration that ppl like u try hard to propagate. Another reason? Because Christians hav stopped living wt the fear that there is hell fire, and yes God os merciful but his wrath can touch ppl that disobey His commandments.

With deep introspection and reasoning, would you just consider for a moment that if you have to do the right thing out of fear of some god punishing you, maybe you aren't a good person after all?

And you all-seeing God should be able to see through your BS and pretense?

Also, in the original copies of your holy book, the concept of eternal punishment and a fiery hell was influenced by Greco-Roman ideas, such as the Greek concept of Tartarus, a deep abyss used as a dungeon of torment.

And was inserted into it by the early Church Fathers like Tertullian and Augustine who helped develop and propagate the idea of hell as a place of fiery, eternal punishment.

I guess you wouldnt know this.

So instead of being a programmed and brainwashed, why not seek the truth on your own terms instead of regurgitating Newsspeak?

    3. Anon 14:56, man by his very nature is only restrained by the fear of consequences, else you would not be free enough to type the comment u wrote. The fear of consequences whether it is law, a higher authority or smone bigger than we are is the reason why ppl don’t forcefully take away other ppl’s wives when they are attracted to her nor do they break the vaults of banks when they are broke. Fear of consequences, so if by ur logic that doesn’t make one an inherently good person, then all of us are bad, including you, because, whether you care to admit or not, there are things you have refrained or keep refraining from doing simply because you know you would not be spared by the wrath of the law. So allow others who believe someone bigger, can condemn them to eternal damnation if they fail to follow His rules.

Finally, i thought Christianity pre dated the roman-greek whatever that u are talking about, so how then was the idea picked from them. Scratch that, assuming but not conceding to the fact that the idea of hell was copied from the romans and the greeks by Christians, i hope you know Judaism which is also one of the abrahamic religions, predates Christianity and the romans, and it also contains the same concept of punishment, where then was that copied from??

    4. @Dr E.B.

And you had to end it with God punishing him, same thing you accused him of?

I once read his interview on what inspired him to go into christian movies production. He said something very profound that I can never forget. He said those days the kind of movies people loved to watch made devil looked so great and fearful. Those days of Ogunde movies, all those koto orun, Abija and the likes. All the streets were always empty whenever it was time. He said he just wanted people to know there's a power greater than all other powers. And he did so in his best possible ways.

This man has entrenched righteousness and good upright living far more than the "fear" it created in people like you. One of the films that guided me to marry as a Virgin was his film on "Just a little sin" (I hope I got name right). So please save your epistle you want to write yourself. If you have a problem with the good works he did and still doing, pls set up your movie production and sell to people who care to watch.

Just imagine discrediting decades of hardwork with his fingers. In a world where non-religious movies actors are pushing nudity and immortality out. It has even become competition. Some ladies trying to break into the industry gladly get laid just for fame. In a year or two they buy massive houses.

      Just shut it already!

    5. Anons 17:49 and 20:05 GOD BLESS YOU for putting Dr EB Things and Anon 14:56 on the right track and perspective.

This Christian man promoted righteousness with his movies.

EVIL thrives when GOOD MEN DO NOTHING.

  2. But it is not a blunder to dress up as Babalawo and chant incantations,....

  3. He is a Christian movie producer, if he says so, who am I to disagree. If he had said in movies generally, that's where arguments will come in . But he's specific

  4. Its a drama and a movie. I think anything you want to pass across or channeled should be done practically. I see no harm in that abeg

    1. MC pinky, if you know your bible well, it is only sexual sin that has to do with your body others don’t.

  5. If that is wrong then it's a sin for a man of God to come up with a non existing story to pass across his message to his congregation.

    1. That was how a pastor gave a lamba in church one day just to pass a message.

He said a man died and an angel was taking him on tour through hell and heaven, in hell people were happy, dancing and drinking but heaven was solemn,so the nan said he prefers hell cos the atmosphere is very friendly and lively, by the time he got back there, he met shege banza and he was told they were only welcoming him the first time but now, it's the true face and it was already late he couldn't change his decision .

My question is,who followed the man and came back with the narrative?

How come people are already in hell when judgement day is yet to come? Ko ye mi

  7. Then it's also wrong for someone to act as an arm robber, prostitute, Slap someone etc in a Christian movie too

  8. Perhaps he means with courting couples. To me it’s like drinking and getting drunk or drinking and not getting drunk, one is a sin and one isn’t. If you can sit and don’t collect then fine but if you know sitting will lead to collecting then flee from sitting. The sitting in itself is not sinful. Couples do want to feel close and connected both emotionally and physically. Let them set their own ground rules, it is not anyone’s place to tell a couple not to indulge in physical actions that creates bondedness between them. There are some things that is completely just between God and a person. So Christian films can show romance in a healthy way, the ppl do not have to be like stone or encourage viewers to be like stone to serve God. There is a richness in depicting real attraction and sexual tension in a Christian movie because that is real human experiences.

  10. MB is like any Pastor that will do something and tell you not to do it for his own reason with excuses. So dressing as babalawo or prostitute in Christian drama is not a sin but sitting on a man's lap is during acting?
All his children got married under 30 which is great and he was telling other ladies to keep waiting

    1. You need to also come and tell us how he forced his children to marry under 30. And how he flogged those other ladies to keep waiting even after seeing their suitors.

      Receive wisdom in Jesus name.
