Please, I want to make amends to my surname and my daughter's DoB, so I would like anyone who has used the NIMC self-portal to effect changes to their information to kindly put me through, especially regarding the documents they used/uploaded to get the process done.

And are those slips with their IDs all I need to effect the necessary changes on NIMC's self-portal service? Or do I need a few more supporting documents?

The wise old adage goes, 'Give a man a fish, and you feed him for a day. Teach a man to fish, and you feed him for a lifetime.' Sometimes what people need more than your money is your wisdom. By taking the time to share with them the insights and wisdom you've learned through your life's experiences, you're investing in their future. What a gift! But that means you must never stop learning.
Sometimes we stop learning because we become complacent. We believe we've grown enough, or we want only to make the most of what we already have in terms of skill and knowledge. That's when we start to plateau and then decline. We lose our innovative spirit. We begin to think about being efficient instead of breaking new ground. We cut costs instead of investing in growth. Our vision becomes very limited. And instead of playing to win, we start playing not to lose. We all love doing what we're good at, but being good at something requires us to keep our skills sharp. Less skill leads to less enthusiasm and eventually to discontent. If we reach this stage, we start looking behind us because that's where our best days are. We think about the good old days, the glory days. At that point, we're only a few short steps from obsolescence.
Nobody wants to learn from a has-been. If you want to give until you've given all you have, you must keep growing until you can grow no more. 'Blessed are those who find wisdom, those who gain understanding' (Proverbs 3:13 NIV).

ReplyDeleteYou have it easy getting pregnant and birthing successfully, healthy babies. But your marriage is not a happy one. There are women in happy marriages who would give their right arm just to be pregnant. Yes. Just to be pregnant. I know someone like that. She and her husband have great careers. Money. Happy marriage. But she has NEVER been pregnant in her life. She said she wants to feel what it feels like to be pregnant and be able to talk when women are talking about pregnancy, even if it just for a day. Her husband then went on to die young. Yet, you are able to birth your children without issues.
I know someone who came to do her masters and after that she got a job with a 5 year sponsorship just like that. In a great job, working from home. As a manager in a multinational company. This is something so many people who came to do their masters are struggling to get. The lucky ones get 3 years. But she got it easy. Her problem? Marriage. No man even comes to talk to her. As in… like she is not visible to men at all. No man sees her. All her friends are married with children. But some struggle to get sponsorship after their masters and are stuck.
I can go on and on.
The glass is either half full or half empty. Your view if how that cup is, is what matters. If you see the glass as half empty, you will quite likely, live a miserable life, focusing on what you are missing, instead of enjoying what you are blessed with. But you see the cup as half full? You will be joyful and thankful for what you have while working towards what attaining what you have not yet accomplished.
Count your blessings. One by one. And you will be surprised that you are more blessed than you thought you were.
Be happy for what you have while working towards having what you don’t have.
