Double Celebration in our home today. 💃
I can't believe we have survived 6 years in this glorious institution. What we have endured, can break many homes. But we are standing, to God's glory!
6 years has taught me a lot -
1. Marriage is the headquarters of offence. There'd always be issues. How you tackle them, is what matters. Always FORGIVE and let go.
2. Plan your finances/number of kids before marriage, and both of you should be doing something to contribute to the upkeep of the home.
3. Never hide your earnings from your partner.
4. Always put the needs of your family, above yours. Be selfless!
5. Your spouse is the MOST IMPORTANT person in your life. Let them know. Let others know it too.
6. Always talk things out. Don't sleep with grudges.
7. NEVER ever involve 3rd parties in your issues. Unless there's threat to life.
8. It is very important that your spouse is your BEST FRIEND.
9. Your spouse is your partner, not a competitor. Inspire each other to greatness, and be genuinely happy for each other's growth!
10. Your marriage is unique. Never make the mistake of copying anyone. Do what works for you.
11. In marriage, just like life, you learn everyday. Always try to evolve.
Every time peeps have asked me how I navigate this crazy journey called marriage, I've always answered thus:
* Be Blind
* Be Deaf
* Be Dumb
No home is perfect, no matter what the couple portray outside.
If you're single, I pray you marry someone who truly LOVES you.
If you're married, may God bless your home with LOVE, PEACE and JOY!

ReplyDeleteAfter watching series of jollof rice videos on IG and YouTube,these are some tricks I added that makes my jollof rice bang like smokey jollof.
Roasting or boiling the pepper mix before blending
Adding butter at the very end
Less fresh tomatoes,more onions,rodo and shombo in the pepper mix.
Frying tomato paste till it's almost burnt
Frying your curry,bay leaf, rosemary, garlic and garlic in your oil first.
Using protein stock and steaming(creating a hole in the middle,cover with aluminum foil then cover the pot and reduce the heat to low heat.Stir at intervals till it's soft enough for you).
