RiskyGATE - NBA Demands Probe Of N15m Bribery Allegation Against EFCC

The Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) has called for an urgent investigation into allegations that officials of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) accepted a ₦15 million bribe to drop a money laundering case against one Idris Okuneye, popularly known as Bobrisky.

The NBA has expressed concern over these allegations and has requested an independent investigation by the Attorney-General of the Federation and the Office of the National Security Adviser.
The NBA emphasized the need for a thorough investigation to determine whether bribes were paid to influence the nature of charges brought against defendants in criminal cases. They also urged the Nigerian Correctional Service to provide transparent details on the conditions under which Bobrisky served his sentence.

If these allegations are proven true, the NBA insists that appropriate legal actions must be taken against any public officials found culpable.

    1. @MichoHay He actually missed the whole essence of going to the correctional facility, if he had stayed there, reflected on what brought him there, i guess, he would have made some changes, but he missed it. A few years from now, he will actually come to terms with the consequence of his choices. This whole thing is getting bigger than he can possibly handle.

  9. It is unfortunate that see how a lot of young people, apparently, are not addressing fundamental issues thrown up by this mess. Someone said EFCC that is supposed to be fighting corruption collected 15m from him to drop money laundering charges and that he bribed correctional services to service his prison terms outside their facilities, and nobody is crying on the roof top for thorough investigations into these allegations. I weep for you Nigerians because if these allegations are true, you are in for a long thing, as they say in local parlance. Young Nigerians you had better wake up and start demanding for accountability in governance… Won ti jeyin maye.

    1. Someone finally pointed it out. They are busy chasing shadow and arguing over irrevant issues , some claimed it's not his voice. Youths, hold your leaders accountable and stop pursuing shadows.
Efcc , bobrisky and the correctional centre should be queried and if found guilty should be dealt with.
