He was arrested on Monday night by federal agents in a Manhattan hotel, following a grand jury indictment.
Marc Agnifilo, his lawyer, criticized the US Attorney’s Office for pursuing what he considers an unjust prosecution.
The lawyer noted that the singer had voluntarily traveled to New York anticipating the charges.
“We are disappointed with the decision to pursue what we believe is an unjust prosecution of Combs by the U.S. Attorney’s Office.
“Sean Combs is a music icon, a loving family man, self-made entrepreneur and proven philanthropist who has spent the last 30 years building an empire and working to uplift the Black community.
“He is an imperfect person, but he is not a criminal. To his credit Mr. Combs has been cooperative with this investigation and he voluntarily relocated to New York a week ago in anticipation of these charges.
“These are the acts of an innocent man and he looks forward to clearing his name in court,” he said.
The charges have not been stated but he is currently facing multiple s#xual assault charges.

Hmm… it hurts like an icon like Diddy allowed himself to keep committing terrible acts against people for so long, I’m sure his conscience has even died. Now all his legacy is about to be rubbished because he thought he is more than everyone else and would never be brought to book.
