EX Guber Candidate Olumide Akpata Says LP Members Sold Their Votes

Olumide Akpata, Labour party Guber candidate in Edo State claims that some members of his party sold their votes to other political parties. He described the election as more of a “transaction” rather than a fair contest, alleging widespread vote-buying by the All Progressives Congress (APC) and the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
He expressed disappointment, attributing the situation to the high level of poverty, which he believes clouded voters’ judgment.
