Hmmm.....

STAND ALONE NARRATIVE
WICKED FRIEND
I am 48 years old. I met a 42 year old man last Year and we fell deeply in love , I met his folks but his cousin who's my friend destroyed the relationship by painting me in bad light ......She has hooked him up with a babe in her 20s. The painful thing is that I look younger than the babe ........

Hmmm, why do some women behave like this? I have heard of stories where a wokan will introduce a male to their female friend and later go back to scatter it when they see it is leading to marriage...
The kind of man that will hear bad things and break off is not worth it...Please move on, love will you again!

  1. He's not worth it. He's easily swayed. And you still refer to his cousin as your friend??? My dear, block her a&&, and delete all her contact.

  2. How can you at 48 feel you look younger than someone in her twenties. Please channel your anger to the man and leave the girl alone

@Fan Emmanuel, it is very possible for her to look younger.
I hardly tell people my age. They never believe me. When I was 35yrs i looked 25. People told me so and argued my age. I don't bother anymore. Now I'm in my fifties and look forty.

Dear poster, what is yours is coming. Count your losses and move on.

    3. Fan, you’re a bad belle, it is possible for her to look younger but you won’t believe because you yourself FAN looks older.

Poster: you dodged a bullet, imagine after marriage and he goes out because his cousin is pushing him to.
God will bring your own man.

    4. Brown calm down abeg. How can someone almost 50 claim she look younger than someone in her twenties. Una no dey ever talk true I don’t know why. Lady T said when she was 35 she looked 25 meaning she looked 10yrs younger, understandable. How then do you compare someone that’s 48 looking over 20yrs younger than her age haba! Make una dey fear God oo

  5. He wasn't in love with you from the onset; if he was while the cousin was trying to scatter the relationship, he might have confronted you with some of the allegations, except if you have also been doing bad things.

  6. Look at this way OP.... Maybe.. just maybe, you may have dodged a bullet. A 42 year old man who easily gets swayed into the arms of another woman probably isn't who you want to settle down with. A man who can't make a decision and stick by it is not a man who can wither the storms of marriage.

That said, how exactly did your friend paint you in bad light? Were there elements of truth in what she said? Elements your ex could collaborate?

I know this hurts and hurts so deep. But you have to just pull yourself together and move on. I am so sorry.

  7. Haaa Frenemies...God please separate me from such people....Poster I can imagine how you feel....Please let it go and no don't compare yourself with the 20s lady....Both of you are incomparable, you are a spec and more.....Quickly cut off from that lady and guy; he is not worth it at all....The love that you seek will find you....Cheer yourself up and God will come through for you

    All the best...

Stella heard one on IG the matchmaker wey do introduction on a lady to her 'male bestie', come jealous, they gbensh the man behind the lady back; the male matchee come engage the matchmaker....Imagine too bad!!!

  8. Eyah. So sorry about this. May God give you your very own that will love you unconditionally.

  9. Are you guilty of the paint? The painter knows you more than her brother... so it's left for him to believe the painter or you. Seems he made his choice. Maybe your defence wasn't strong enough to convince him otherwise.

  10. No Ma’am, don’t blame the cousin solely, pls share the blame accordingly, when a man loves a woman, he goes all out for her and stands by her. You think u guys were in love but he has proven to u that perhaps you were the only one in love.
To be honest, it is a natural instinct in men to go for younger women, just like women are wired to tilt more towards a better provider.
All things being equal, even wtout the interference of a third party, only in extremely rare cases would a man of 42, pick a 48yr old partner when he has the option of a younger partner. A bitter pill to swallow, i know.

    2. 15:59, that was the first thing i said, however, she should not blame just the cousin, i didn’t see anywhere she apportioned blame to the man for dumping her, why do women keep thinking smone made a man betray them? The man doesn’t know what he wants?

  11. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
It is in vain that a woman compares herself to or with another woman in the eyes of a man.
Men look at/for more than beauty even though beauty may be the first or major attraction by a woman.
If a man changes his mind about a woman on hearsay, the hearsay rested on an existing doubt created by the man or the woman or both about the relationship.
Did the bad light shine on bad or good? That is the real issue.

He kept asking me out for years, i no gree, meanwhile my friend was was just disturbing my life about him, my people the minute i said yes, problem! 🤣🤣🤣🤣

This girl said and did all sorts to make sure we seperate, the more she tried, the more she failed🤣🤣🤣

  15. Forget Stella’s advise, she’s going soft. You no get better character that’s why she informed her cousin. How do I know? Your statement of looking younger than the 20 year old gives you away. Toxic fellow. Change your ways

Man and woman must console selves after a disappointment.

It is in the Aesop Fables. The fox could not get the apparently
low hanging ripe grapes after several jumping attempts. As it walked away, it said to self, the grapes may be sour anyways.

  16. Did you confront your friend in his presence? because if I were you, that's what I will do.
The man never loved you from the onset, so let him go, men naturally prefer younger women to older ones, so I doubt if the relationship would even work, if truly your friend badmouth you to your ex, cut her off, with a friend like that, you don't need an enemy, love will find you in Jesus name.

  17. You are 48 nne, and needs to be less sentimental for your peace's sake. You can position your mind in a way that you become understanding of people's perceptions or opinion when it comes to you, excuse them and preserve your happiness. They could have concern about your fertility,, they may know a thing or two about your past to judge you by, they may be concerned that you'll be bossy... Whatever their concern as his family is valid and your interest should be on the man who loves you Inspite of all these concerns. If he doesn't love you that much then, good riddance. No matter what, keep your joy, grow and keep your money and enjoy yourself. A worthy man will come along at some point. Travel on vacations and have faith. Read up on the Law of attraction and how to harness it to your advantage. Trust me, it works 💯

  18. Poster, please move on,if what your friend said about you was untrue, your so called boyfriend wouldn't have left you. Try to be a better person in order to prove anyone wrong,if they paint you,in a bad light.

  19. Poster, did something transpire between you and the cousin? Your conclusion that she badmouth you to the man might actually be wrong, IMO. You don't know that for sure, do you??? And any man that can easily discard you based on other's perceptions don't deserve to be with you in the first place. Just so you know, when you commit to your partner, you also commit to their past, coping mechanisms and communication styles. That's what commitment in relationship is all about. That man was never committed to you and I want to believe he chose the other lady for reasons best known to him not because of what he heard from his cousin. So, just pick yourself up and move on. You will be fine. I pray love finds you someday.

And one more thing, Poster, you're unique. Never ever compare yourself with anyone. Don't belittle yourself like that again, hun😉.

  20. Some persons may tell you how you "dodged a bullet" and how the guy wasn't worth your time in the first place.

    You'll feel good for a while .

However , the most important question is were you guilty of what your friend accused you of?
It's possible that there's something your friend found out about you, that she couldn't bear the thought of you marrying her innocent cousin.
