CCPE Alleges The CBN Is Suffocating Investors And Businesses In Nigeria With Interest Rate Hike
The Centre for the Promotion of Private Enterprise (CPPE) has criticized the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) for its recent interest rate hike by 50 basis points to 27.25% in September 2024. CPPE argues that this decision is detrimental to investment and economic growth, as it increases the cost of funds and stifles financial conditions for businesses.
