Freedom....
ReplyDeleteSomethings I see teens and young adults do now I could never ever try it in my growing up years.
How do I keep my mouth to tell my mom I am going for a sleep out. I can't even go for a day party the next street.
Times have changed and I thank God for my upbringing
We trusted people easily. You can walk to your neighbour's place and nothing will happen. Now times have changed. There's so much evil out there.
ReplyDeleteChildren are less active and parents are more distracted.
ReplyDeleteChildren bathed naked in the rain without the fear of molesters.
ReplyDeleteParents were able to leave their children alone at home and in the care of neighbors.
Children were well disciplined because parents didn't spare the rod.
Then we fear Elders and dont talk while they talk, but this days small children will even want to put hand in your eyes while answering you back..
ReplyDeleteDelayed gratification...I don't see it being practiced now

ReplyDeleteThe audacity. No filters 🙄🙄🙄
ReplyDeleteChildhood experience these days have become mobile and a lot are missing. Our days was full of wonderful memories that I wish my children can have, but sadly it's gone forever.
ReplyDeleteWe respect elders, we play sweet games, discipline was not meant for the parent alone, we read and understand well (these days even teachers are using google).
We look forward to the christmas and new year period, is it the Atilogwu dancers, or father christmas boys that goes around town playing for a token.
I really miss those days.
Those days no phone oooo, even if our mothers get phone we dare not to touch it .. kids of this days will forget that they have home work and be watching nonsense Cartoon on their parent phone...
ReplyDeleteThankGod me I did not train my kids with my phone ...
Hello iya Boys
The way kids communicate their feelings these days. They are more open and opinionated. During our time, we were so scared of our parents
ReplyDeleteNo childhood these days...indiscipline and rudeness in the name of children being opinionated.
