Have you ever wondered where your prayers go? The answer is 'up for a memorial before God' (Acts 10:4 NKJV). Notice that they are 'before' him. They are in his hands and on his mind. Here when Cornelius prayed, God not only changed his circumstances, he changed history; for the first time, Gentiles heard the gospel and became part of the Kingdom of God. How long had Cornelius been praying? We don't know; the Bible just calls him 'a devout man and one who feared God with all his household, who gave alms generously to the people, and prayed to God always' (Acts 10:2 NKJV). Prayer was not a hotline Cornelius used when he got into trouble or had a problem he couldn't solve. He 'prayed to God always'. He had a lifestyle of prayer.
The word 'memorial' means God remembers what you pray about. Prayer is like putting money into your bank account. You may not draw on it today or tomorrow, but it will be there when you need it. Don't get caught up in religious rituals. You can pray anywhere, anytime, about anything, and God will answer you. 'I will pray morning, noon, and night, pleading aloud with God; and he will hear and answer' (Psalm 55:17 TLB).
When you run out of petrol, you can't blame the car. You got busy doing other things and neglected what was important. Prayer makes you conscious of God, keeps you connected to God and positions you to receive what you need from God. So, keep praying because your prayers go 'up for a memorial before God'.

I saw a video on IG, and as usual I checked youtube to learn more about it 😁. It's the date seed coffee. Instead of throwing the seeds, you wash, dry, roast on medium heat till brown and then grind it to a powder form. And then you have your coffee powder (except this has no caffeine). Add about a tablespoon of it to hot water, allow it steep, strain and then drink. You can add milk to it if you want. It contains vitamins, minerals, good source of fiber. And the benefits are it helps protect the kidney and the liver, good antioxidant, helps reduce blood sugar, improves your immune system, helps fight cold and can be used as a medicinal for asthma. I'm gonna try this, maybe it help keep this asthma away. (Oh, and from the videos I watched, it smells like coffee too 😉). Enjoy. 😁

DeleteNormally, I'm not a local woman but I no know who send me to use pressure pot to cook rice. I was in a hurry and decided to use it so I would finish quick. Just 10mins of cooking, rice had turned to fufu. I had to blend it, pour into a pot and put on fire, sprinkle semovita and turn it to make it hard and we ate it as fufu with the stew that I made for white rice.

A woman hawking groundnut was hit yesterday while trying to cross the road to sell to a customer. Her two legs were broken, her head and face had deep wounds. I was weeping when I saw her. How will she get money for treatment? The person that hit her reversed and drove off.
