DeleteGoodwill offering here is from a non-member who God has blessed in an immeasurable way. Atheist/Muslim/Hinduist.
He or she can drop in different churches, if I receive it I take it straight to the accounts department even in the middle of service.
Give it to an usher? Probably enters his pocket straight on.

Sad part is that some members probably gave their last in support of their church and then now know the money went into someone's pockets and they are now far away living a good life when those folks may still be struggling and being told to hold on for their miracle. This life.

As 1 Peter 4:17 says, “judgment begins in the house of God”. The house of God is one (not any denomination) made up of ALL who have made Jesus their Lord & savior & accepted his sacrifice on the cross & consistently do their best to follow justice, mercy & righteousness as written in Micaiah. We are the believers. All believers are part of the house of God if we know Jesus as our Savior and Lord.
ReplyDeleteGod is slow to anger and is giving him room to repent. I hope he is not boasting of his crime. Same with all who have turned Christianity into a money minting business and push back on any criticism of their ways. The other day we attended a branch of a 🇳🇬 church I respect a lot & the ushers were selling books written by the GO during service instead of waiting till after announcement! That is wrong. Jesus got angry and drove out traders (buying & selling is trading) with whips. It does not matter what you are selling! Wait till service is over.
“ 2Timothy 2:19 is one of my favorite verses in the Bible.
“Nevertheless the foundation of God standeth sure, having this seal, The Lord KNOWETH them that are his. And, Let every one that NAMES the name of Christ STOP/DEPART from iniquity”.
At the end of it all, there are no denominations, positions, hierarchies, marriage, children, etc in heaven. God the Father, Son (the lamb of God that took away our sins) and the Holy Spirit are the ones we will worship forever. Remember that God has libraries whose contents cannot be tampered with by men or bought with bribe. The book of life is the main one, the book of remembrance is another book in his library.
Let us work out our salvation with fear and trembling “looking only to Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith”. Men & women will disappoint regardless of their position. Study the Bible & have a 1:1 relationship with God. These are the last days.
