The passport is the property of the Federal Government of Nigeria (as confirmed by a Court of Appeal decision).
The Custom officers at the scene should have arrested her and handed her to the Nigeria Immigration Service for proper prosecution.
But in Tinubu's country, some ignorant citizens would have turned the matter on the officers' heads and accused them of chauvinism or internalised misogyny . So, they let them to go and settle their matrimonial matters at home. It is the same thing the Police does when called on matrimonial matters or DV - go home and settle with your wife/husband.

DeleteIt looked like a Nigerian passport and from their luggage, it appears they were deported because I doubt anyone comes to Nigeria for vacation with about 10 or so luggages. Who knows the reason if it was deportation. It is still no justification for lack of self control. Someone said on the recording that she had been dragging him from inside the plane. How does a man respond to a woman he is dependent on for something dear to him - in this case, it is clear the man depends on the woman for residency papers of whatever nature that is why she tore up the passport. She did so because she wants to destroy a document in that passport, which she believes is valuable to the man. It is small thinking to tear up a passport if the man is well documented in Nigeria and his country of residence. But it is big punishment to tear the passport if the man is not well documented and will find it hard to leave Nigeria without that very passport.

A friend once complained to me that her husband brings little money to the home while she brings the bigger amount. I told her that for long it was the husband that was taking care of her and children when she hadn't a job. Now she earns higher than the man, and for that should do more for the family. She agreed and they're still married. I wish couples should just be reasonable and live in peace.

A man earning 100K (an example) will feed his wife and a child to robustness and in good health.
Switch it. Give the woman the money as income. Let her sit at home and feed the man and their child. Within months, the woman will be gaunt, sickly and highly irritable. The only problem - her husband is eating her money.

However knowing how the woman was already behaving from inside the plane as said on the tape, he should have kept his own passport. I still think they were not on vacation but were deported because of the sheer number of luggages they had. Anger and wickedness have no demarcation due to loss of self control when some are angry. It is a wicked act. May God help them.

A social worker while retiring after 35 years dealing with aduros made a speech at her send forth party, she said she has never seen wickedness in human form until she started dealing with us, what is actually the problem with us that the wicked ones among us outnumber the good ones,don’t we know the world is watching?
