The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) has withheld results of 215, 267 candidates, who sat for the 2024 West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) (School Candidates) over alleged malpractice. Dr Amos Dangut, Head, National Office (HNO) stated this while announcing the results on Monday, in Lagos.



The Inspector-General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun, on Monday, said a man, who was one of the masterminds of the crisis that ravaged Sudan, was among the organisers of the just-concluded #EndBadGovernance nationwide protest. He said the foreigner who was traced to the Labour House later escaped, saying valuable documents in connection with his “activities” were recovered.

. The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has accused University of Calabar of having fraudulently mobilised 101 graduates for the national service during the 2021, 2022 and 2023 NYSC Service Years. In a statement signed by the management of the scheme, 99 persons were graduates while two were on exemption.

 The reinstated Deputy Governor of Edo State, Comrade Philip Shaibu, has resumed duty after the Federal High Court judgement nullified his impeachment by the Edo State House of Assembly. Shaibu in a video posted on his X handle on Monday also directed his staff yet to resume work since his reinstatement to do so or face the consequences.

Flood has wreaked havoc in several communities in Jigawa, Yobe, Bauchi and Kebbi states, killing at least seven persons, submerging many houses and farmlands. The incidents have also left many people displaced, even as major highways have been damaged, making mobility extremely difficult in some of the affected areas.

 President Bola Tinubu has commissioned the first set of Compressed Natural Gas, CNG buses at the Presidential Villa, Abuja. The buses, numbering 20, were said to be the first batch produced by local manufacturer, Innoson Motors.

 There was no single death recorded in Kano State during the #EndBadGovernance protest, according to the police despite video evidence. Commissioner of Police in Kano, Salman-Dogo Garba, said this during a press conference where suspects were paraded on Monday.

The weapons produced by the Defence Industries Corporation of Nigeria (DICON), according to Minister of State for Defence, Bello Matawalle, show the seriousness of the Ministry of Defence and the new DICON management under the Bola Ahmed Tinubu administration.

    But right now, most schools give d student d answer. And I really can't comprehend why.
