ReplyDeleteThis is really terrible, if State government can do the road faster, it would be better instead of waiting for the federal government.
ReplyDeleteCorruption affects ALL facets of Nigerian life. When they build or repair roads in the US, they use multiples of that flimsy slab in the annoying picture, they then put concrete on many interstate roads so the odds of this happening is slim. Look at the edges of the bridge and around the river, no metals, no structures and concrete to support a bridge.Even a driveway of a home is thicker!
ReplyDeleteIn a normal country there will be an investigation of who awarded & carried out the project and what structural plan they submitted. Many are silent murderers in Naija because if you “chop” the money meant to build a solid bridge or hospital, every soul lost due to your greed is accounted as a murder case against you by God. After every winter season, they repair our roads because the salt used in de-icing the roads causes potholes. If you see the attention to detail you will not respect most rich folks/contraftirs/politicians etc in Nigeria plus their arrogant children who flaunt blood money.
It took a ship weighing 213 Million Pounds to break the Francis Scott key bridge in Maryland this year. 213 million pounds! See this flimsy one that nothing even touched. No solid columns. March 2024, the 984-foot cargo ship “Dali” lost power and struck a supporting column of the Francis Scott Key Bridge in Baltimore, Maryland, causing the bridge to collapse”…..
Someone asked on Twitter why it seems those in Diaspora are more angry with the situation in Nigeria than the people who live there. It is because we see and know that ðģðŽ money used to do these corrupt shabby projects can get the real thing. We know it could actually be better. It’s unfair and annoying to some of us.
Some ðģðŽs are the problem with Nigeria. May God help ðģðŽððū. No investigations. Life goes on. SMH. ✌ðū
