ReplyDeleteBoundaries are limits and constraints we set to safeguard our emotional, physical, and mental well-being. Boundaries define what is acceptable and unacceptable in our relationship with others. Boundaries are vital for a healthy relationship, to build self-respect and self-esteem and it is important for personal growth.
I don’t even know how I want to start talking about this but I have to find a way to.
When you are a person who has clear set goals and principles, you would have boundaries and you would respect people’s boundaries.. Every nation has boundaries protecting its people and treasure and at such if you must cross it, you need some form of permission.
So when I was in school I had this list of things I won’t do or allow people do around me I can still remember some of them,
Like no guy should be in my house after 8pm, cos I don’t know what you would be looking for by that time.
If you enter my room don’t touch my personal belongings, I don’t wear people’s clothes so nobody should wear mine it was simple.
I had clear set boundaries, when you come around me and stay around me for a while you’d know. You cannot have a dirty conversation with me. You cannot have personal conversations at my bakery it’s a work environment.
And I for one don’t allow people guilt trip me or make me feel bad for any of my set boundaries, you cannot even force me to do what I don’t want, if there’s something I like about myself it’s my strong will.
If you don’t have that discipline you would think that people are proud. No they are not they just clearly know what or what not to tolerate.
I remember one day a neighbor entered my room and went straight to my fridge I said No, you can’t do that in my house. If you need something you ask.
You have to develop the habit of asking for permission before touching people things or visiting or getting too personal, if they don’t allow you, save yourself some self respect and rest.
Another thing I do again is that if I’ve not had my devotion in the morning I won’t take any body’s call or start a conversation. And not everyone can come to my house.
Any and most of the mistakes I made In life are associated around breaking my rules or bending them for some people.
Know how far you can go with people and how far they can come with you. Even in the Old Testament not everyone could enter the temple.
You can’t go to every party
You can’t be in every comment session
You don’t have to please everybody
You need to have discipline to follow through
If you would have boundaries in relating with people you would go far in life. If you don’t have one start today to define your own space and respect people’s boundaries..

ReplyDeleteAnother School fees period is around the corner, don't overdo yourself by saying your kids must go to expensive school that you can't afford, most schools used the same syllabus, going to expensive schools doesn't guarantee anything, I've first hand experience about this
Taking your child to school above your means will even affect the child,cos when the child is always being called out amongst his or her peers for school fees gbese, or because you've used all money to pay school fees, you're now giving the child nonsense food to school or you can't afford basic things like a good bag or school clothing, the child will always feel lesser.
There are lots of low school fees primarily and secondary that are very good, especially those owned by churches, Kingdom heritage owned by winners is still less than 30k per term here in osogbo, fountain of knowledge owned by fountain ministry is 30k for primary and tgat school is really trying, millennium school . Here in owode lifewalk school owned by a house of assembly member is just 30k per term, very big school too, but some people go dey run kiti kata untop school fees.
My child's school fees is 30k and they're really trying, they even have diction master, I do ajo everyday of 500 naira that is 13k a month cos I don't do Sundays ,so I don't even feel paying school fees, and I still have change to buy shoes and other things if need be.
Be wise. Cut your clothes according to your material ni o.

Perfume or body spray alone does not do it for me, I even prefer using only roll-on to perfumes. No matter how I sweat from morning till evening, no offensive smell even when you put your nose to my pits.
It's good for one to know what works for ones body system. Some people use expensive perfumes,yet they stink, their solution might be a good roll-on or deodorant.
Wcw to all sisters who put in extra effort to smell nice and look nice in the face of adversities.
Perfumes and deodorants serve different purpose. You can use only deodorants and still smell good but if you use perfume without deodorant you will stink!!!

ReplyDeleteThe way prices of things increase is alarming. I went to the market yesterday , i was shocked. I couldn't buy honey beans for sale, i had to buy other things that are less expensive but with a good turnover and profit. I wonder if some families still cook beans.
