INSIDE THE MIND OF A WOMAN GOING THROUGH MOTHERHOOD
My neighbour had a baby some weeks ago, and her mom has been around for the Omugwo. Her mom goes out of her way to compliment me and have small talks whenever she sees me. She is very nice and gives warm, cuddly “ sweet grandma” vibes.
I see and hear how hard she works, especially since the baby has been up crying from Colic almost through the night since he was born.
I have been there, and I know how hard it must be right now. Hearing the whole thing from my apartment takes me back to when I had to deal with the newborn phase.
Child birth was traumatic for me, and I wouldn’t have been able to cope and get over it to without the help of my mom and sisters. They were my rock. I had Post partum blues and a mild case of Post partum depression with my first. With the other two, I had Post partum rage.
I remember lashing out at my mom and instead of being angry, she held me and said “I understand how you feel, I understand the rage and I felt the same way too when I had you , relax and try to sleep”. I can’t imagine not having such supportive hands to hold me through it all.
One of the trauma I faced was that the painkillers wore off just as they finished stitching me up, and I felt so much pain. I thought I would run mad. I felt raw, intense pain, and for some reason, the new injections i was given did not kick in on time.
Also, my stitches reopened despite the fact that I did everything right . You can imagine all these without having support would have been terrible. This is why, given my experience, I am pained when new mom’s can't have the support they need because of “Tradition of who comes for Omugwo”. It’s saddening to see the new mom that should be taken care of being burdened with the task of taking care of someone else, all because they came for Omugwo and can't be stressed.
I strongly feel the new mom should be the one to decide who is the best person to stay with her and help in this period of her life, not tradition or anyone that would add extra baggage to her mental and physical health.

This one wey you talk so no reach my own..My baby had colic and DID NOT SLEEP AT ALL.....I had no mum and was happy that my darling mum in law would come and help...hmmmmmmmmmmm
Mama come carry pikin and i was still in pains and left her with Bambino to go and sleep small...After like one hour, she came to the room and tapped me and handed me the baby that she was going and didnt wanna disturb me....MY EYES INCREASED LIKE SEGUN AROUNZE AND my mouth fell on the ground...Becos we live in the same environment i thought she would stay tilll night...I watched her kiss us and leave....I was so angry at everyone and everything ... hubby and I ended up doing Omugwo together...It was fun but really stressful, we made videos of the most stressful moments and watch and laugh about it sometimes..

GIST
There's this man in my neighborhood, he owns a provision store but you can only find empty buckets inside the shop, like there's no goods inside the shop, but every morning he will dress so cute and sit there and he keeps the environment so clean,
So often times I have noticed that nobody stops there to buy or gist with him, it got me really worried but his punctuality is so commendable:
I went to this my really nosy neighbor and asked her about the man, she said that the man met a woman, fell in love with her and they got married, his mom told him as an only child to not marry from that tribe but he was so in love::::
They said there was nothing he wouldn't do for the woman, a year after their marriage, no child, no sign of pregnancy,
Soon after, she finally became pregnant and this guy was over the moon about the pregnancy, he took care of her so much and opened that shop for her, filled it with goods to the envy of neighbors, he would go to work because he was running around to buy the finished things in the shop before getting to work, it continued till she put to birth a bouncing baby boy and this guy from nowhere surfaced,
He said they had agreement that if the child is a girl, he would leave her alone and go away forever but if it's a boy, he would come for them.
It was like a dream to this man as his wife told him to his face that the child is not his and she was leaving him too after all he's been through, she said she was still in love with her ex and now that they have a son together is a fine time to start a family with him,
This man was so broken that he ran down the big river to drown himself, when his hypertensive mom heard that her only child jumped into the river, she collapsed and kpaii'd, some divers rescued the guy .
He came back and at hearing what happened to his mom, he lost his damn mind, they said he dashed out everything he owns including things in that shop, resigned from his job but still come back to that shop everyday to keep hope alive, they say he tells people that his family will be together again soon, that his wife will come back and his mom too...
Some women get heart pass devil himself, why make a fool of him when his only crime is loving you more than you deserve....

The man should have seen it as a blessing in disguise and picked up himself from the ground and remarried...What if he had used all his money to train the child and this happened?
I watched an old man drag his wife of 60 years to paternity court cos he wanted to know if their 3 adults kids were his...His said he travelled a lot and suspected her all these years and that he just wanted to know before he dies...
She was so upset and said a lot........
Results were announced and none of the kids were his....TWAS A BIG SHOCK!!!

14 WAYS TO CORRECT YOUR HUSBAND WITHOUT HURTING HIS EGO

1. LOWER YOUR VOICE
Don't shout at him..He is not your child. Although sometimes he acts like a child but yes you can correct him in a minimum volume tone.

2. DO IT IN LOVE
Correction should be done in love. Remember your husband is a human too. He makes mistakes and so are you.

3. NEVER EVER CRITICIZE YOUR HUSBAND IN PUBLIC OR INFRONT OF YOUR FRIENDS.
Stop criticizing him, especially infront of your friends or family, that is very degrading to men, rather correct in love, just whisper with a gently hug. Most will say it's constructive criticism. But girl, men have egos too.. there self esteem are easy to breakdown.
Correction is the act of offering better options.
Correction and criticism are never the same

4. LETS CUT THE SAYING “WHATEVER MY WIFE SAYS”
Girl, YOU ARE NOT THE BOSS! And so does your husband.
Every decision should be talked and planned with the both of you.
If he said your cooking is a little salty, NEVER WALKED OUT OF THE TABLE…instead appologize and offer other options. Give him sugar instead. and impove your cooking by watching cookin  g videos on youtube.

5. PRAISE HIM FOR HIS ACCOMPLISHMENTS
If he puts the curtain rod straight or your wall decor in perfect angle, appreciate that.. you know how meticulous they are when it comes to putting wall decor. They really mean business when you request them to do that, with all the use of measuring tapes and torpedo level and rulers. An extra appreciation will make him love you more.

6. DON'T DO IT IN FRONT OF YOUR CHILDREN
Avoid correcting your husband in the presence of your children. Incessant correction of your husband infront of your children will make them disrespect him. Remember HE IS THE HEAD OF YOUR HOUSEHOLD.

7. DON'T CORRECT HIM IN PUBLIC
Avoid correcting your husband in public, it does not show you as a virtuous woman and will affect his self-esteem. If you do that in public, you will look like a mad dog without breeding.

8. AVOID CORRECTING IN ANGER.
Stop correcting your husband in anger, shouting, ranting, beating and making trouble. Never push your husband to the point of him to fight back and protect himself from a rascal act of yours. By doing that, you are like adding kerosine on a burning house. Instead, invite him for a walk, hold his hand and talk about the problem.

9. DON'T COMPARE HIM WITH ANY OTHER MAN! NEVER EVER!!!
Thats where jelousy comes from.
In your thought of correcting him, you might have been comparing him with other men.
"Don't you see what your friend is doing?" Can't you learn from our neighbors husband?" "Can’t you be like cheska husband? Or susie’s husband? Or can you be like ADAM IN THE GARDEN OF EDEN? Or like SAMSON or SOLOMON? Girl, your husband is different. When you come to a point of doing these, then REMEMBER THE TIME WHEN HE STILL COURTING YOU and why you choose him and remember how you are head over heels in love with him.

10. NEVER GET BACK TO OLD ISSUES
There is no reasons why you need to get back to old issues… like “remember what you did before?? I will never ever, ever forget that!!! Bla bla bla!!!” Once the issues are done and solve, it should be totally erased in your memory… never try to open a grave… well mannered woman never do that. Stick to the present issue, discuss like adults and move on.

11. DON'T ATTACK HIS MANH#OD
"And you call yourself a MAN ENOUGH?, REAL MAN don't behave like this, you better change before I change you!." This is very wrong, don't do it… LADIES WE DON’t change MEN! if they want to change, they will change because of LOVE. Don’t try to be a sculptor of water. For sure you can’t do that.

12. DON'T ATTACK HIS DIGNITY
GIVE YOUR HUSBAND A BUNCH OF RESPECT!!!
Thats all that matters. If you don’t have enough respect for your husband then you are not worth the respect of your children.

13. DO IT IN TIME OF PEACE
Most WIFES do want to correct in the heat of their anger, at the height of misunderstanding, when temper has already hit the roof. That is not the best time to correct, it will yield little or no result at all. MEN is simple…they have SELECTIVE HEARING. they can only hear in. Low tone of your voice.

14. GIVE A HELPING HAND
Work together for good… change tire together, try your best to help in your most seductive way. That will make their job easy and fast. If he is fixing a broken leg of a table, hand him the things he need. Don’t just stand and watch your husband like you are an egyptian pharaoh mandating a slaves and ready to give a whip when he makes a mistakes.
Husband most of the time are doing a great job, appreciate yours and support him to be better husband and Father.

  12. God gave David this incredible promise that his family would always be on the throne and that he would have a lasting dynasty. It was more than David could imagine. He said in 2 Samuel 7, “God, Who am I that You would do this? I’m just a shepherd. I come from an ordinary family.” He was so overwhelmed and so amazed trying to take it all in. He could have stopped there and thought, “It seems impossible. I don’t see how that could happen.” But David understood that he had to get in agreement with God. The only promises that will come to pass in your life are the promises that you let take root. David said in verse 25, “Lord God of Israel, since You have declared this to me, I am bold enough to pray. God do what You promised concerning my family.” He was saying, “This seems far out, but God, since You said it, I’m in agreement. Let it happen.”

  16. Let me give you people small gist.

So last week Tuesday, the POS lady downstairs my office came to see me begging that I should guarantee her for a loan she's about to obtain from one of these microfinance banks. She said the amount is 500k. Please note that this lady and I have no personal relationship except the usual withdrawals and occasional deposits I make with her. She spoke so excited saying the only requirements needed by the bank were business name, address and guarantors. She intends to use her madam's POS name and address and already had one guarantor on standby.

    Now I asked her:
    1. Question: What is the name of the microfinance bank?
Answer: I don't know but it starts with AB, it's along blah blah blah road.
    2. What is the interest rate on the loan? Because even Dangote complained about interest rates recently.
Answer: I don't know but since the money is not much, I don't think the interest would be high.
    3. The owner of the POS you want to use as a business name and address, is she aware?
Answer: no but I'll pay the loan on time, she won't find out.

Okay I'll guarantee you but first I need to see the form and read what's written on it. You know what? Bring your own loan form let me go through it, don't worry about payment.

Her response: the forms are on the guy's iPad, he showed me.

Me: can't he print them out? Okay, tell him to send you soft copies then you send to me.

    Her: okay.
It's been one week, we just greet/pass, I use her POS whenever I need cash. I haven't asked her anything and she didn't approach me again.
Hope I didn't do anything wrong?

Getting your clothes dried these days is a miracle. So troubling for guys like us who don't like repeating clothes and boxers after use. It's an everyday rain in Rivers state. I don't know if it's so in other places.

Having your clothes dried inside the room or veranda under minimum temperature leaves it with an unpleasant smell not even perfume can help. I thought it's August rain like this do occur. Let me not even talk about the cold.

  19. My desire to adopt has always been with me since adulthood. When my husband turned it down, I kinda shoved it aside but now the desire is back and is so so strong.

I understand my husband’s reasons for not wanting to but honestly, I wish there was a way to put my mind totally off it so that desire can just go away.

  20. Purchased rice from Aboki this morning and he didn't have change so I told him I'll come back and give him, I saw his reluctance to trust me and I was determined to prove him wrong.

Hausa people used to be the most with integrity in Nigeria but clearly, when they integrate with other tribes, especially the Yoruba, they tend to pick 'habits'.

I approached him 2hrs later when I was done and handed him his cash, omg! The lit on his face was priceless, he kept the endless thanks coming as I walked away.

    I learn a lesson.
Your single act of integrity may just be the trigger someone need to restore his faith in humanity.

If someone also bought something from u and told you they’d bring the money later especially if u don’t know anything about the person, won’t u be skeptical? I don’t even think I will agree sef. You can also leave ur change with me and come back for it later.

Last week I bought light for my prepaid and instead of just sending me token, they send 2 KTCs that must be entered first before you can enter your token..
Called their customers care for direction and understanding, they explained how I should use it and when I asked what the whole stress is for, all they said is that they were doing upgrade.. okay, I entered it and my lights unit has been on a marathon race..
When some people were jubilating then that it's only 'highbrow' areas that have light for at least 18hrs that were on band A, I said it then that it's just a gimmicks not to make people complain that with time, when they talk die down everyone would be paying the same band A few, they thought I'm always pessimistic, how anyone can trust the words that comes out of shameless greedy liars that have no honour is what baffles me,. If you don't know a person character at least his antecedents should be enough for you to use in making your judgement, no, you must act dumb, continue being taken for a fool and then cry later, the cycle continues over and over again..

This was the same way 'they' said under Buhari's regime after subsidy removal that the high rate was only going to last for 6 months and then the price of fuel would drastically reduce.. political talk to deceive dumb people so they'll shut up..

As the age old saying goes, A promise is a comfort to a fool..

But na sit-down look I dey,. Both the government and their supporters are the same just like Bishop David Oyedepo allegedly said- “If you are loyal to a wicked man, you are a wicked man.”

    @Chika Chikala C.

You might have to boost your immune system, you can start with taking 1000 ml of vit c every morning after you finish malaria treatment.
Maybe your everyday stress has fvcked with your immune system so you dey quick break down on top small thing wey no suppose shake you, Lagos stress did it to me maybe years back,. I was worried I had a problem until I left naija and for a whole year I didn't even have a headache, this was me that was taking malaria med almost every 2 weeks staying a whole year without taking anything wey resemble tablets or medication,. Environment and lifestyle matters a lot, I remember telling someone there how I was always treating malaria before I came and the person was asking if mosquito full Lagos, I tell am say na stress, the person was arguing with me that stress doesn't cause malaria, I tell am make e go Lagos, e go understand.. you see that Lagos, I never know the amount wey person won gimme wey go make me relocate to that glorified ghetto..

Wow, all these gists today eh, I was rushing here to drop a gist I heard today.
It happened that a man opened a boutique for his wife, in the guise of traveling to Lagos to get new stocks, she visits her boyfriend unknown to her husband, this has been going on for years.
The news of the affair got to the husband and DNA test was conducted on their 3 kids of 17yrs, 15yrs and 10yrs respectively, it was discovered that the kids do not belong to the husband biologically. The woman confessed that she was never in love with her husband but her longtime boyfriend.

    2. Men need to start checking their fertility. Some wicked women will bring other men's kids home to their husbands instead of taking him for tests.

Some men too will stubbornly refuse to go for fertility tests. As long as they have strong erection and are shooting out some liquid, they believe they don't have issues. If they had impregnated someone in the past, then don't even mention fertility test near them.

    Hello from the croc city😘

Congratulations to all the giveaway receipients, thank you Angel Star. Thank you Stella, you're truly an angel and God's blessings will never be far from you and your family.

Motherhood poster, all new mothers deserve a helping hand because it's not easy. I remembered a neighbor that put to bed and very early in the morning the husband leaves for work. This woman will clean wash and cook, fetch water from the borehole outside. One day she collapsed while fetching water. When I asked her why no one came for omugwo, she confided in me that because her husband hasn't completed the bride's list,it's abomination for her mother to come for omugwo.

After reading Triple C comment on SP this morning,I'm now thinking that it's like I'm the only AA that don't fall sick, abi my own is different. Triple C I wish you quick recovery, it is well with you.

Bvs enjoy the rest of your day.

The man may be having fertility issues, hence the woman went and tried her womb with her ex instead of dragging her husband to the lab for tests.
This thing is common, both men and women go out and try their fertility with other people outside their marriage which is very wrong.
If you are married for more than six months with regular gbenshing and no pregnancy, drag your partner to the hospital for fertility tests and possible treatment.
I feel so bad for him.
