I know someone, at first when she couldn't pay the graduation party fee for her daughter, in her daughter's own school, she would instead take the child to lots of fun places. Now wey she don balance, if she wan pay for the graduation, her pikin go say no, she did rather go to fun places instead of "wasting money and at the end of the day, the would be given coloured rice and fish that looks like her pinky finger".
My child's school is very considerate, ours is 3k no graduating pupils, graduating is 10k and it's not compulsory
