ReplyDeleteFew months ago, I told one of my friends that I am attracted to intelligent people and people who have solution to almost every thing I ask. he is also intelligent but now he has toppled it, I don't know if he is doing it to impress me or something 😅. He was using unpopular terms to explain some things to me yesterday; big big grammar o, not only that , his was using phonetics, and him voice come fine pass before. I was just smiling and saying in my mind ( I wish someone was here, so I would put my phone on loudspeaker for them to hear this voice 😂). I couldn't even pick the vital points of the things he explained to me yesterday, the fine voice and big big terminologies diverted my attention from our point of discussion. Many times when he asked if I understand, I just affirm; where as in the real sense, I wasn't concentrating on what he was saying.

Again, when we say we are attracted to intelligent people, we don't mean that you should use grammar to gain our attention. You can still be unlearned but sound intelligent in your judgement to things of life. It's not by vocabulary. Vocabulary without common sense is useless to me. My friend has the vocabulary and common sense though, and that's why I always go to him for solution to some things. I only behaved the way I did yesterday because it's unlike him. And using too much vocabulary will make me use just few words or say nothing when am expected to contribute in the discussion. He should just tone it down abeg. I think next time I will tell him to tone it down.
Tell him to tone down the big grammar so you can flow better, he is clearly giving you green light, some guys like to be sure they are what you want before they approach you.
