Even though it is not in our tradition to respond to fake news like this posted and promoted by a criminal faceless source through Twitter (Now X) account, it has become so imperative this time around to make this response for necessary clarifications in order to calm the inundation of the genuine concerns expressed by subjects, friends and lovers of the Ooni globally on this matter. The following assertions are hereby made for necessary clarifications:
That the news as posted by a Twitter (now X) handle called "99% OPPRESSED" is fake, untrue and absolutely an unfounded allegation only adopted as a nugatory character assassination tactic aimed at achieving a cheap popularity with a view to drawing huge followers/traffic for avaricious monetization from Twitter (X).
That the so called Mrs Fagbule was and is never known to the Ooni of Ife for any interpersonal communication or relationship whatsoever, talk less of being so promised with a marriage proposal. That Ooni Adeyeye does not operate any Facebook account personally. He runs the palace as an institutional organisation with a functional media directorate which has a section that operates his social media handles; Instagram, Facebook etc. That If truly the lady so mentioned as Ms Fagbule is from Osun State or Ile-Ife in particular, why didn't she come to the palace to meet Ooni in person throughout their co called relationship?
That, rather than taking her matter to the appropriate agencies like EFCC and the Police for professional investigation which could have adequately helped her, she chose to make it a social media brouhaha. That, if, for whatever reason she had preferred social media and human rights platforms to the Police and EFCC who are so professionally trained, shouldn't she have engaged a credible mainstream media organisation; Print and Electronic, or consulted credible Human Right crusaders like CDHR, Femi Falana Chambers and their likes in the country who undoubtedly pocess qualities of a tested capacity and passion for applying principles of justice and fairness in their efforts of thorough investigation in any matter of injustice against the oppressed. She rather chose an unscrupulous faceless Twitter (X) handler who is not identified beyond "99% OPPRESSED". That the said letter of marriage proposal so paraded on the Twitter (X) handle of the so called "99% OPPRESSED" alleged to have emanated from the Ooni is a fabrication of lies from the pit of hell, as the Letterhead used for the letter does not reflect the originality of our official letterhead used at the palace for official correspondences. And that the body of the letter does not grammatically reflect Ooni's personally signed letters in any way.
That, with the Ooni's status in wealth, business success, philanthropy and highly revered royalty, to allege or even suggest that he would be collecting money from any lady for travel expenses and others in exchange for marriage with a huge portfolio of billions of Naira being handled by Ooni Ogunwusi for humanity can only be viewed by reasonable people in the society as a figment of the imagination of Mrs Fagbule and her social media Messiah.l (99% Oppressed).
That if the lady truly has a genuine case of marriage proposal fraud against anyone wether or not it affects the name of the Ooni, she is hereby invited to the palace in Ile-Ife to physically meet the Ooni for his fatherly assistance with the help of the Law enforcement agencies to uncover the perpetrators of this inhuman crime against her helping her in cracking down the fraudster who had wickedly defrauded her as we have had so many cases so successfully handled in the past. For the umpteenth time, the Ile Oodua Palace of the Ooni of Ife wishes to advise all persons globally to be carefully conscious of their engagements particularly in the social media as the Ooni does not interface with anyone via the internet/social media or appoint proxies to do so. Contrary to the fake letter being dangled as evidence in the media, the Palace’s letterhead is unique and familiar to corporate bodies, personalities, other recipients and prospective recipients alike, with the Ooni’s signature as the "Arole Oduduwa Olofin Adimula" and not "His Imperial Majesty".
Good move
ReplyDeleteOh some ladies still want to be added to the no of wives?
ReplyDeleteRich desperate pickme male centered female defrauded
DeleteThe PR response was an ego massaging piece
Na wao! Such a huge amount of money, I hope the person behind the scam is caught and seriously dealt with.
ReplyDeleteThe amount stated was too small, though.
ReplyDelete$180,000 is too small?
DeleteDisclamer wont help you. Alot of women have complained about this OOni. You collected her money and use your connections and power to stall judgment.
ReplyDeleteHe’s a known fraudster with his harem of women . In connivance with a London pastor. This people ehhn if you know the parole they run ehhn . You go weak.
DeleteNa this biology clock and greed that's causing women to misbehave..
ReplyDeleteGod please come through for any matured woman seeking for marriage, Amen
Lol š
ReplyDeleteSo some women still wish to be added to d list...
I was surprised when I read the allegations too.
ReplyDeleteHow can you part with $180,000 from just having a Facebook conversation with the Ooni? Why didn't she bother for once to see him in person.
Worse still, how could she believe that the Ooni will promise to marry her via Facebook chat?
This is from a well educated Doctor in the United States who should know better. What desperation pushed her to fall for this scam?
If that ain't foolishness, I wonder what is. š
DeleteThere is a Yoruba movie about something similar to this. It's just that in the movie, she meets the fake King. They even get married, and after the wedding and collecting her money, Oga Japa goes to another state in Northern Niaja to continue his scam until he met his match. I have forgotten the title.
DeleteSo with all those women Oni still dey market?
ReplyDeleteNa wah!š
Marry early and well. Una no gree but go dey listen to the advice of other women. At old age, you dey pay money to be person wife.
ReplyDeleteThey are paying for the connections attached to the palace, not really to be wife number 8 or 9.
DeleteThe height of gullibility in the story was quite appalling. This has to be the cheapest gimmick I have ever seen in my whole life. I won't expect a kindergarten to fall for it not talking of an adult. 180k dollars just like that??? Mehn!!! Being desperate for something is not bad, but it is when you let your desperation be overly visible. It is well with her soul.
ReplyDeleteAnything they say that Ooni did, he did that shit.
ReplyDeleteAn acquaintance lost #18m to this guyman real estate scam company.
Ooni has always been a scammer and will continue to scam people until he is eventually disgraced.
I know this comment wont be posted.
Really??
DeleteI heard something similar about real estate scam
DeleteMeaning most of the existing harem paid to join, na wa oh, there must be enough benefits attached to associating with the palace.
DeleteSuch a huge amount of money
ReplyDeleteNa wa oo
You want to become olori by all means
ReplyDeletelol. Iykyk. Ooni ooo
ReplyDeleteTimes are hard even in Oonilandš¤£ it ain’t cheap catering to many wives and children. The hustle and hustler are real.
ReplyDeleteMy instinct tells me she was actually scammed by the real Oni. Na today? She should go to the public offices like say she go get justice? Mtschewww
ReplyDeleteThe real Ooni scammed this woman and nobody else. Didn't his second wife Wurola practically build him with her money?
ReplyDeleteWhen she was building him, he was quiet until money finished and he moved on.
Poor woman for $180000k is not N180000K
Years of hard work and savings.
For all those asking - she was scammed with jazz and not clear eyes that was how she fell. It has happened to me before so I know, the only difference was eventually I knew when the idiot was trying to manipulate my spirit to give into his bidding which saved me from losing everything but I lost a lot.
BV Spirit on this blog is who helped me get myself back - it is well.
