Senator Ali Ndume, lawmaker representing Borno South, is obviously not done with his criticism of President Bola Tinubu. The lawmaker who was sacked recently as the Chief Whip of the Senate, stated this during a chat with journalists.


 The leadership of the Labour Party (LP) has berated Presidential aide, Mr Bayo Onanuga, who in a tweet linked the LP, its national leader Peter Obi, and some notable figures in the party to the proposed ‘EndBadGovernance’ protest. In a statement on Saturday, Obiora Ifoh, National Publicity Secretary of LP, said there is no truth in such, describing the tweet as the author’s figment of his imagination.

 The 15th Emir of Kano, Alhaji Aminu Ado Bayero, attended the annual peace prayer for the nation organised by the Isyaku Rabiu family, on Saturday. The Holy Qur’an is usually recited up to 3000 times within the first Islamic month to pray for peace, prosperity and progress of the country.

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has arraigned one Rufus John Isip, a self-acclaimed forex broker, for alleged N2 billion investment scam in Akwa Ibom State. EFCC spokesperson, Dele Oyewale stated in a press statement on Saturday that the suspect obtained part of the N2,022,081,172 from one Michael Okon, the Director of N-Rex Resources Limited under false pretence.

A Benue State High Court in Makurdi has awarded N800 million against the Nigerian Army and 10 others for the murder of Sixtus Terfa Akure, a Senior Inspector of Taxes with the Benue State Board of Internal Revenue Service (BIRS). Akure was found dead by the roadside near Aper Aku Estate in North Bank, Makurdi, after being abducted by men of the Nigerian Army on January 15, 2022.

 Bandits have killed two people and abducted some members of the National Youth Services Corps (NYSC), travelling on the Ifon/Owo road in Ose Local Government Area of Ondo State. It was gathered that the bandits attacked the passengers transiting en route to the state, on Friday night.

. Former Edo State deputy governor, Comrade Philip Shaibu, has led another legacy coalition of the Peoples Democratic Party and their supporters to officially join the All Progressives Congress (APC) ahead of the September 21, governorship election.

 The traditional ruler of Chanchanji in Takum Local Government Area of Taraba State, Alhaji Tanimu Kumbiya, and his son, Yusuf, were murdered by unknown assailants on Takum-Chanchanji Road late Friday. According to reports, the traditional ruler and his son were returning from a funeral in Takum when they met their untimely death.

Former presidential spokesperson of the Labour Party, Dr Doyin Okupe, has stated that his support for the former Senate president, Bukola Saraki, and the LP presidential candidate, Peter Obi, was not for his gain but for capable leaders to succeed in their endeavours. Okupe revealed this in an open letter on Saturday, responding to a prominent chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party, Dele Momodu.

. The police in Lagos State have continued to be on the trail of fleeing members of a notorious kidnapping gang who had plotted to abduct some wealthy persons in the state. Nine members of the gang were killed during an operation that took place on Thursday, July 9, in the Ladipo area of the state.

Aliko Dangote, Africa’s richest man, on Saturday stated that he did not enjoy any incentive from the Nigerian government to build his $20bn refinery sited at the Lekki Free Trade Zone.
Dangote made this known when he received the leadership of the House of Representatives led by the Speaker, Tajudeen Abbas and his deputy, Benjamin Kalu.

  3. Everything they do, they must mention Peter Obi and Labour Party.

    Why don't you prove them wrong then? We needed action so Nigeria can be a better place to live and work in.

    Enough of the politics. Nigerians are not finding it funny/easy anymore. Act APC, act.
