Twenty-five people were killed and 127 others injured in two road accidents in Kano State on Monday. Among the survivors, it was gathered that 25 remained unconscious as doctors, nurses and other supporting staff battled to resuscitate them.

One Mohammed Isah has been arrested by police in Niger State for allegedly stabbing his friend, Nurudeen Nuhu, to death following a dispute over a mobile phone.
The incident occurred in the abattoir area of Kwata Tayi village, Minna.
According to reports, the two friends engaged in a physical altercation over a mobile phone, during which Isah allegedly stabbed Nuhu in the stomach with a knife.
Eyewitnesses reported that the incident took place Sunday morning.
After being stabbed, Nuhu collapsed and was immediately rushed to the hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.
The Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) of the Niger State Command, Wasiu Abiodun, confirmed the incident to newsmen.

The authorities of the Nigerian Air Force on Monday confirmed that one of its Unmanned Aerial Vehicles, UAVs, crashed in Kaduna. It also said it had commenced investigation to ascertain what might have caused the mishap, adding that there was no single casualty since it was unmanned equipment.

The Comptroller General of Customs, Bashir Adewale Adeniyi, who displayed the intercepted weapons and drugs to journalists at Onne, Rivers State, on Monday, said the weapons were brought into the country from Turkey.

Abia State government has said that henceforth, all administrative staff without professional certificates in the civil and public service will be stagnated at level 13.
Abia State Head of Service, Mrs Ngozi Queen Obioma said this in Umuahia during a meeting with the Chartered Institute of Personnel Management and the Administrative Officers, as well as Executive (General Duties), in the State Service.
She declared that the policy followed a Circular rom the Head of Service of the Federation dated March 21, 2024, which Abia State has adopted.
