Some have sent off their kids to spend the holiday with relatives, some have enrolled their kids in summer classes to continue learning until school starts and some are just confused and are screaming their jeads off right now..
Can we share tips on how to keep our kids occupied at home this holiday season?
What kind of games do you suggest? Where should they be taken to visit?
Please share ideas!

Hello iya Boys
There are different skill acquisitions or coding classes online, they can also learn new things like baking, swimming or painting.Whatever we see they have passion for,we can help them towards it.
ReplyDeleteMy toddler likes singing, dancing and humming. We have gotten a music box and microphone appropriate for her age😅😅
I saw a video of boy who uses all the buckets in their house as drum and the parents got him sets of drums. My cousin developed his artistic ability from small and he draws and paints so well now that people buy his works.
Parents please,if your children will be going on a break to their grandparents, aunties, uncles or family friends house, please be sure they are in safe hands of trusted people. This is the time child abuse is rampant.Let's take necessary measures, may God keep protecting our children.
Happy Holidays 😊.
Amen.

Problem solved. This is no time to while away biko.
I'm opening summer reading class for children between age 3-20. If you are in my location, grab this opportunity.

I bought plenty novels, my kids love to read, there is is television but I control screen time, they sleep after lunch(a must!) Wake up, read, play, draw
ReplyDeleteI collected their books and text books after party, so they answer question and solve some of the work remaining in their text books, they improve their french on Duolingo, play games.
Summer lesson to the rescue....... Children below the age of 10yrs, managing them you need extra manpower.
ReplyDeleteI can't ship my kids off to any relatives house oh!!!.I am a baker,so they are here , baking with me.i got them registered with u lesson so that after 3 weeks of baking classes, they start their studying as both of them are in exam classes.also I registered the girl in a spice making class just to add to her skills and the boy ,a tie and dye class at the museum.no knowledge is wasted and am happy about it cos they are so excited.
ReplyDeleteHoliday lessons is a no no for me...
ReplyDeleteWe can engage these children in other activities like skills acquisition, games, computer training, reading and spelling class, and lots more
We should allow their brains to rest from academic activities and most importantly protect them from child molestation this period...
I occupy them with alphablocks, Numberblocks, story of the Bible cartoon
ReplyDeleteMy sister sent hers to vacation Bible school for July, very affordable. Next month they will hopefully resume camp from last year. I used to do mostly free summer programs at the library when I was young or go to the village to be with my grandma and other cousins. There are many things to do if you look for it.
ReplyDeleteI will enroll my son in thier school summer lesson.
ReplyDeleteMy kids are about to go back to school. I bought them grade appropriate maths, science and English books from Amazon and assigned them work to do every morning. I set a schedule for them and for the most part they stick to it. At noon they nap. In the afternoon/ evening they either go swimming, soccer practice or tennis practice. On most fridays we all watch a movie together . They also have unstructured play time by themselves outside. I’d say this has got to be our most productive summer . They all worked hard and qualified to join a swim team and a soccer team. I am so proud of them and our hard work is paying off. To other mamas .. you can do it. Keep watching them , they learn from you. Keep them busy .. pray and your hard work will pay off . Amen
