Years back one told me ATM don't dispense cash on weekends say as bank no dey open ATM sef no dey work for weekend, money wey I borrow you o, I no fit close mouth that day
During our engagement phase, I discovered that my then fiancé and now ex-husband smoked (occasionally and when he's stressed). I detest smoking and the smell of alcoholic drinks, and he's aware of these. But, I can bear moderate drinking.
He will ask to go on an evening solo-walk randomly and come back smelling sweet and needing a bath, immediately. Well, it's normal to shower after a walk, I always do this as well. One faithful evening, I decided to join him on one of his walking escapades and guess what I saw from a distance, my fiancé with a cigarette in his mouth. Immediately he saw me, he hid the cigarette behind him and was shivering like a dehydrated chihuahua, just to mutter "hello babe". When I saw the shock on his face and the effort he made to conceal the evidence. I decided not to talk about it, and I didn't do so for the decade and some years our marriage lasted. It took him about a year after our marriage and moving in together to stop smoking. Despite the inconveniency that I felt (i.e. cigarette butt in the toilet bowl and waiting for him to wash and rinse before kissing, I appreciated and pitied him for the efforts he made to stop this habit. Which included going outside in the freezing cold to smoke, multiple showers, investment in mouth wash, excessive brushing of the teeth, visits to medical practitioner, books and YouTube videos about stopping nicotine consumption.
It wasn't easy, but he did it. I just wished he had told me about his struggle with nicotine, instead of silly lies like going for a solo-walk. I commend myself for the restraints on whining about it because he's a good man, except for the yeye smoking.
He went for a job in another state,n he called me wen he got there,he wasn’t picking his calls or replying to my msgs until after a week wen he was returning back….he said “it was work”
Where I want start from now see am with babe early mormor he say the babe na his Igbo supplier he no let me see the geh face o say na insult for her to see me.
