Dicey topic. A friend was told me why he stopped playing for free in his church. His Pastor's son who played most of the instruments went to another church to play for cool pay making him feel like a fool. So, yes they should be paid
If instrumatalist should be paid then choristers, ushers et el should also be paid. Personally, I think they shouldn't because they got the talent/gift for freee hence they should use it to the glory of God for free too.
If they are hired from outside, they should be fully paid, but if they are trained by the church as members of the music department, I don't think there's need for that.
In my church. They're all paid. Most instrumentalist are paid, unless na pastor son or daughter dey play the instruments. You will be at their mercy. They can wake up and decides not to come to church that day.
Yes,if they have to be in church from morning till night and can't leave whenever they want.. u call during the week days for church programs, they have to be available at every service..yes please pay them
Normal church service days like Sundays and Midweek Services? No they shouldn't be paid. But outside of the normal church service that requires them to come during week days from morning till night? Then in such cases they should be paid.
