During a Live sermon at his church, Ghanaian actor turned Pastor, Majid Micheal preached a controversial sermon that is in contrast to the widely accepted perception on the miracles of Jesus.
In his words;
"Do you know Jesus never healed the sick or raised the dead
Do you know Jesus never let the blind guy see
Oh yeah! Majid might have been making a lot of sense but right now he doesn't make any sense
You know what Jesus said?
I do nothing by myself
As I see the father do,I do
In other words,
I am Jesus, I have a will
But I will not use my will, only the will of my father I came to do
When the Satan came to Jesus and said turn this stone into bread
Tell me what's so bad about turning stone into bread
You are the son of God, can't you turn stone into bread
Well he could but if the devil had gotten Jesus to turn that stone into bread without asking his father permission, he had gotten him to sin and that is what you call sin; seperation from God, independence from God
When you draw your own plans and make your own decisions without consulting the father, you have sinned"
I will not comment much until I hear the full clip. Bcos lately, people take a few words from your video and run with it. All I can say is that when you have a passion for God, calm down let God lead. Alot of us have passion and boom!!! The next thing we don mount pulpit without proper discipleship.
ReplyDeleteThe same thing he said, when you have passion for God calm down let God lead because Jesus calmed down and allowed God to lead.

Well written 08:37

The problem is that some Nigerians have comprehension problem.
DeleteHis comment is clear and not controversial.
He said that Jesus did not heal WITH His power but with the permission and power from God.
Unlike Nigerian pastors that sell money water, long life water , miracle alert etc.
Thanks anonymous 10.56. He is simply saying don't do anything without God. Always sk God for directions. Jesus never did anything without asking permission from God. Read the bible for yourself.
Delete@10:56. I am absolutely with you on this. The man was simply saying whatever Jesus did was according to God’s will, which Jesus Himself said.
DeleteJohn 5:19 KJV
Then answered Jesus and said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, The Son can do nothing of himself, but what he seeth the Father do: for what things soever he doeth, these also doeth the Son likewise.
John 5:30 KJV
I can of mine own self do nothing: as I hear, I judge: and my judgment is just; because I seek not mine own will, but the will of the Father which hath sent me.
You don't even need to see the full video clip now. What he said is self explanatory. We can do nothing except through God that strengthen us. Same applies to these our pastors that think they are the one doing the miracles. He who stand should take heed else he falls
DeleteWhat Majid is saying is that Jesus did all those things IN COLLABORATION with God. There’s no controversy there…

Majid played a fast one on us. He was right, however, the opening words appeared too costly and misleading.
ReplyDeleteI guess he did that to get everyone's undivided attention.
CHIKA Iya boys is still dwelling in the Opening words 😄

Hello iya boys
Religions are so confusing.
ReplyDeleteNaah, urs is, mine is clear and straightforward.
DeleteBaboni read it again, you will see that there is nothing confusing about what he said
DeleteIn a nutshell he said Jesus didn't heal the sick by his will but by the will and power of God the father.
ReplyDeleteSame thing I understand.

Hello iya boys
In my opinion, there's nothing controversial about this.
ReplyDeleteWhat I feel he is saying is that, just like Jesus, we too, should always seek the will of God, in whatever we do. As in, as Christians, who call God their Father, we need to seek the Will/Opinion of our Father before we do anything.
Very correct. 👍

Exactly
DeleteCorrect.
DeleteHe is right ✅️ it's all by God's will as Jesus Christ also mentions. It was after his death, and resurrection we were mandated to gain access to God through the name of Jesus Christ cos he had paid the price for our redemption. Glory to God.

Didn't know he's a Pastor. I like his recent posts on Insta 👍
ReplyDeleteThe message is true. It is sound info.
ReplyDeleteI watched this yesterday on YouTube, I don't see any to controversial about his preaching, as followers of Christ we must understand that we are to do the will of God always.
ReplyDeleteI believe in the Holy Trinity- God the Father, God the son, God the Holy spirit. One indivisible God.
ReplyDeleteNetizens and their lack of comprehension cos what's wrong in what he said?
ReplyDeleteSimply put, "lean not on your own understanding and will". So, what's controversial about that?
John 5:19,30 KJV
ReplyDeleteThen answered Jesus and said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, The Son can do nothing of himself, but what he seeth the Father do: for what things soever he doeth, these also doeth the Son likewise. [30] I can of mine own self do nothing: as I hear, I judge: and my judgment is just; because I seek not mine own will, but the will of the Father which hath sent me.
The deep calleth on the deep. Ride on pastor.
