Thanks AliB, but truth be told, I dont want what others have...I am content with such that I have be it small or large, I can admire and get inspired, but have learnt not to 'want' what others have, that actually equates to envy, so I strive always to nuture the feeling of contentment rather than envy.
Thank you AliB,I used to look at myself and wished I was a bit fatter, taller or had finer clothes, just this morning a lady complemented me and told me I was look good,it made me glad though, thank You Jesus and I'm also learning to be content with myself.
Let us show the truth by our actions.’ 1 John 3:18 NLT
The word ‘love’ isn’t just a noun, it’s a verb (an action word). And it’s not demonstrated simply by what you say but by what you do.
In a small Jewish town in Russia, there was a rabbi who reputedly didn’t show up for several hours every Friday morning. His followers claimed that during this time he went up to Heaven and talked to God. A stranger moved into town and was sceptical about all this, so he decided to check things out. He hid and watched. The rabbi got up in the morning, said his prayers, then dressed in peasant clothes. He grabbed an axe and went off into the woods and cut firewood, which he hauled to a shack on the outskirts of the village where an old woman and her sick son lived. He left them enough wood for a week, then crept back home. Having observed the rabbi’s behaviour for himself, the newcomer became his disciple. Later when he heard the villagers say, ‘On Friday morning our rabbi ascends all the way up to Heaven,’ he quietly added, ‘If not higher.’
You can’t earn salvation by doing good works, but if you are truly saved, your actions and attitudes will prove that you are truly a recipient of salvation. Paul wrote these two Scriptures to Titus: ‘In all things showing yourself to be a pattern of good works’ (Titus 2:7 NKJV); ‘These things I want you to affirm constantly, that those who have believed in God should be careful to maintain good works. These things are good and profitable to men’ (Titus 3:8 NKJV). Word For Today
"Being born again is not an experience, and it’s beyond these outward expressions. When you're born again, you don't essentially “experience” a thing; rather, “you” are the experience; you happened. You came to be, as it were."
"The one who’s born again is enjoined to learn and keep growing in the knowledge of the Word. God’s Word builds you and transforms your life from glory to glory."
Prayer!!
Dear Father, I thank you for my new life in Christ; your divine nature in me has made me a master over circumstances, with dominion over the systems of this world. I’m growing unto maturity by the Word. My spirit is built up strong and educated as I study and meditate on God’s Word, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

"For the Lord God is a sun and shield; the Lord bestows favor and honour; no good thing does he withhold from those whose walk is blameless." - Psalm 84:11. Our heavenly Father is a promise keeper, who never fails. As His children, I pray for you and your household that this Thursday, He shall overwhelm you with His righteousness and make you blameless. His promises shall begin to be fulfilled in your lives. Nothing shall derail the coming into glorious effect of His covenant concerning you and your loved ones. He shall honour and answer your petition for sound health, restoration of your lost possessions, abundant provisions, His peace and joy in the mighty name of Jesus. AMEN. Enjoy a glorious day.Good morning.
Be original. That's my best advice. You're going to find that there's something that you do well, and try to do it with as much originality as you can, and don't skimp on the words. Work on the words.
There is nothing profitable in faking up things or living a fake life. The end result is failure and depression. Some of us has allowed social media to turn act of living to act of performance. Be careful and put an end to living beyond your income just because you want to oppress whereas, those you are trying to oppress are not even bothered about you.

work very hard for my money. And recently I decided to get myself a car, since thenmy elder brother has been carrying face, he told someone that he's suffering and his sister carried money to go and buy car. Am I the cause of his suffering? When he was doing Yahoo and destroying his destiny was I there? He wasn't even coming home then, he left for almost a year balling, I just pity the innocent girl he married, even though that one too way no pure, imagine she's telling me she thought she don hit jackpot when she met him that she thought he's still cashing out, now he's always ranting on social media about cost of things and waiting for miracles,no tangible work, he's the one that knows the coin that's paying, always doing tap tap at 40. I just ignore him. I'll give when I have surplus but not at the detriment of my happiness, he borrowed some money from hubby and up to now he's not paid.
Lol Ignore his face abeg Enjoy your sweat But pray very well and be careful, let him not use your child or anyone else in the family for money rituals. That is what frustrated Yahoo boys later resort to.
Good morning my people Amen o @SDK That bv that complained on IHN about her brother inlaw's wife getting upset because she didn't visit their place during Sallah to work her butts out. You caused it and no, it's not only the Yorubas that do it, Igbos and other tribes do it too. I have seen it. I married into a Yoruba family, serious local Yoruba family in Kwara state and I don't work like that, including when I lived in their family house. Maybe because I'm not yoruba, they didn't see anything wrong in that or maybe it is just because of how I carry myself or the way my husband does not joke with me, none of them tried anything funny with me.
During celebration, I do the little I can and leave the rest. I don't beg them for anything too or report my hubby to them, except his mum, which is once in a blue moon as we rarely quarrel to that extent. You probably have been going there from the beginning of your marriage to do chores for her and maybe she has little change, she gives you or your kids stuff when you are going back to your house and so, you keep going there to do all the house work. She is used to it. You can change the narrative now if you are ready to. Note that you won't call her to beg for anything or report your husband or ask for any other favour. Respect yourself and see how others will respect you.
I didn't see that comment, make I go read ihn again. But if it's something she's already doing, ah! If she change now, problem will enter that marriage o. That's why my slogan in life is "don't start anything you can't finish" Except it's God sha.
Good morning fam It's #throwback Thursday I remember when I used to cook a very good stew with 2000 Chicken was 600 per kg Semovita was #150 for 1kg Rice was #200 per congo #500 pepper/tomatoes / onions will fill the pot Vegetable oil was 300 per bottle Ewedu #20, iru #10. I would still buy a nice fruit for #100 with the change. This was 14 yrs ago when we newly married. Life was sweet. Oh Nigeria! Where is thy glory?

ReplyDeleteIt's #throwback Thursday
I remember when I used to cook a very good stew with 2000
Chicken was 600 per kg
Semovita was #150 for 1kg
Rice was #200 per congo
#500 pepper/tomatoes / onions will fill the pot
Vegetable oil was 300 per bottle
Ewedu #20, iru #10.
I would still buy a nice fruit for #100 with the change.
This was 14 yrs ago when we newly married. Life was sweet.
Oh Nigeria! Where is thy glory?
Hmm!!
