DeleteThis thing they are doing, going around to key important people to them, including friends and family of themselves and their parents just reminded me it's the same thing we do in our extended family too. For some reason it makes me smile and I'm glad to see them do the same thing. In fact, as the bride and groom go around, some will go with a bottle of wine. Beautiful respect. The agbalagbas may have already received tge wedding invitation or be notified about it, but the bride and groom will still personally visit the big uncles, aunties etc. I'm from delta stare. Not sure if this is a tradition, I guess family tradition. Nice one Chivido
ReplyDeleteAm from Delta too, in short na urhobo babe I be, we do that when we want to get married, you are asked to visit some key relatives from the father's and mother's side with a bottle of hot (or wine), with a minimum of 1k to support kola..
