The school in this story belongs to a supposed wealthy Church in Nigeria.
According to Stella Dimoko Korkus sources, the mom claimed she forgot the child the first time. The school principal had to keep the child with the security and made money available for feeding of the child. Even with repeated calls, the mom never returned the calls nor did she turn up that day. The child slept with the security guards.
The next day, she came at closing time acting totally nonplussed and the security guards and the principal tongue lashed her for what she did.....
Ordinarily, it should be a one time thing right? Well, she repeated it three times.
The woman is rumoured to be a divorcee who has custody of the child and is dating a man who has allegedly expressed dislike for her child. Whenever the man comes around, he doesn't want to see the child. In her bid to please him, she leaves the child in school or she only goes to pick up the child when the man has left.
The school wanted to get the police involved the second time but the parents teachers association chairman asked that they hold off.
This message was sent to the school whatsapp group when the incident repeated itself.
When the woman read the message and saw threat of police involvement, she quickly went and carried her child around 7:13pm but the school closed by 1pm.

She maltreats this child, beat him like a thief, starves him. Thank God for neighbors that feeds him secretly. She fights anyone who comes to give her advice. She nearly killed the boy last week, thank God for people that came around. The boy still moves around with injuries the mum gave him.

Very annoying something. After carrying a child for 9 months, gave birth with all that pain, she agreed to hid the child to please a man. It's crazy.

Hear! Not all fathers suffer when a mother goes away with the child(ren). Some mothers and the child(ren) suffer. Some fathers suffer bad also. And some divorcees start a new more beneficial family. Marriages and or divorces all differ in outcomes.
No man or woman is being advised to stay in a bad marriage. But do what is best for you and your child(ren). Negotiate the best solution in the given circumstances. Listen to this officious bystander's opinion like others. But do what is best for you and your child(ren) always. The other day we read on this Blog about the man who stayed in his marriage knowing the children were not his, and settled his Estate by his Will. A prominent Nigerian businessman and politician who knew what was up among his plenty wives did not create any fuss while alive but also sorted his children and settled his Estate by his Will.
See that the whatsapp message deliberately did not state the gender of the child. What if the child is a female? Or even a male child in today's world.
There was also a similar story like this in Lagos years ago. The mother was called from school. The urgency in the call made her leave her work and run to the school. It was at the school she found her pre-teen son did not sleep at home the night before. The boy stubbornly refused to enter the car that went to take him and his sisters home because he wanted to play. The maid left him behind and went home with the other children. The mother returned from work, slept, woke the next morning and left for work again. She did not know what was going on in her home. The boy slept in the School Proprietor's home. The mother got the full story from the School Proprietor after she had lied-assured the Proprietor that her son was home the night before.The matter was reported in a PTA meeting too.
That child has really suffered. Imagine leaving that child with the security.

There is a full scale regime of rules and facilities (family, customary, State, statutes, NGOs) for easing custody of children from failed romantic relationships. People who selfishly refuse to avail themselves of existing rules and facilities should carry their cans. They should not be aided by gender coated abuses.

The handling of this matter hasn't been the best at all. The school authority shouldn't have left the child with the security guards overnight. The reoccurrence of the neglect should have been reported at one of Lagos state child protection agencies for investigation & possible temporal withdrawal of the child from her mother. The woman will simply find another environment to dump the child whenever her boyfriend come visiting. Someone in the know of this matter should ensure the child is truly safe around her mother. It's so heart wrenching to think of what she's probably going through.

The day I came back very late from work due to traffic and found only my child sitting down in the school compound looking so sad and all alone, the kind of cry I cried that day while picking my child, the bike mand and my son was begging me to stop crying. I felt like the worst mother on earth and swore that it will never happen again 😭.

Treating a child, a female child, like this for whatever excuse cannot be tolerated amongst civil people.
