 President Bola Tinubu has warned terrorists’ groups attacking men of the armed forces, saying Nigeria has the capacity to deal with them. Reacting to the killing of soldiers in Aba, Abia State, two days ago, the president regretted that the attack happened two months after that of Okuama in Delta State.


Abuja Electricity Distribution Company (AEDC), on Saturday, released the names of 25 customers, including several government agencies with outstanding electricity bills. In a notice, the DisCo said it will disconnect all clients who fail to clear their debts by June 3.

 The Nigeria Union of Petroleum and Natural Gas Workers, NUPENG, on Saturday directed its members to comply with the indefinite nationwide strike ordered by Organised Labour. The strike which was declared by the organized labour to press in their minimum wage demand, is slated to commence on Monday.

. A total of 70,608 candidates, on Saturday, sat for this year’s National Common Entrance Examination, NCEE, across the country. But the number of registered candidates fell below that of 2023, where over 72,000 candidates registered and participated in the exercise.

 The Chairman, Kano State Chapter of the New Nigeria Peoples Party, NNPP, Hashimu Dungurawa, has described as untrue the report that the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, has initiated investigation against the National Working Committee of the party, which is led by Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso. Dungurawa, while speaking to journalists in Kano, insisted that the report was a baseless rumour.
