The suspect escaped after smashing the head of the little girl.
The incident occurred on 15th June.
Delta State Police Public Relations Officer, SP Bright Edafe confirmed the development in a statement released on Sunday.
Edafe said the Divisional Police Officer of Agbarho had recovered the corpse of the little child whose head was smashed several times on the wall.
“The corpse was recovered and deposited at the mortuary. The father who is the principal suspect is currently at large.”
Meanwhile, Delta State Commissioner of Police, CP Abaniwonda Olufemi has ordered a manhunt for the fleeing suspect.
CP Olufemi also assured the public that that the suspect will be arrested and justice will be served.

DeleteWhen the earthquake hit Haiti in 2010 and devastated the island, goods/food were being distributed to men for them to take back to their families, they discovered that the food and provisions were not making it home to families because the men were selling it. They had to stop giving it to men and let the women come and collect it so that children and the elderly could get something to eat. Even in the midst of a devastating natural disaster men are concerned with money instead of survival and would watch their family starve to death just to make a little pocket change. The wife ran away with the children and he's going about telling people that the wife left him to be with her pastor that's a widower.
