Bankole, one of the Lagos APC women leaders from Epe, died while performing Hajj pilgrimage in Saudi Arabia.
The Publicity Secretary of the party in the state, Seye Oladejo, told the News Agency of Nigeria on Thursday that Bankole’s death “is most shocking and unfortunate.”
“She was a committed and experienced party leader. The deceased was a proven mobiliser and inspiration for women’s participation in politics. May her precious soul rest in peace,” Oladejo said.

This story has been in regular newspapers that she is one of the Nigerians that died in Saudi Arabia during the ongoing Hajj, from the extreme heat that caused the Saudi authorities to cancel the traditional 'stoning of the devil' during this year's hajj
DeleteOver 1000 pilgrims died doing hajj this year in SA. They died from the extreme heat they experienced there. Temperatures was as high as 125 F

ReplyDeleteThe temperature in Saudi Arabia at the moment is around 50 degrees Celsius alot of pilgrims from different countries had died. More than 50 from Egypt from heat exhaustion. People needs to be prepared for such pilgrimage ,because the weather over there is hotter now due to climate change
