DeleteStella, Jalal punished Salim for not apologizing, he won't be able to meet Anarkali again but trust Salim, he'd still be meeting her π€£π€£. Na now you go see Murad real colour, they'll still fight again. Salim is stronger than Murad but Murad's stubbornness no gree am. Murad will always rub it on Salim's face that he's king in waiting. DeleteIn my place when a man wants to get married to a woman there's what we called 'Igba nju' it means going secretly to the village of the woman you want to marry and ask the people around about the character and lifestyle of the lady, her parents and siblings if they're home based. If there is a question mark or to proceed. A woman can also secretly do that to know more about her suitor. I don't know if this practice is done by people from other tribes and Eastern states but I'm sure of Enugu state where I come from doing so till date.
ReplyDeleteI remember following my ex in 2009 to secretly enquired of the lady her elder brother wanted to marry at the time. We traveled to Oji River in Enugu state and few kilometers to the lady's compound, we did our findings. Almost everyone we spoke with had good things said about the lady and the family. They knew why we came and asking. They told us more than we need to know about the family. The lady was eventually married.
Wahala for olosho wey everybody for the community/town know her every damn move and dealings.
This is one of the reasons when we advocate on good lifestyle and accountability from people, it's not us asking for too much but for their own good in the future cos people are watching and taking note of their movements and doings.
So there's this lady from a neighbouring community close to mine my cousin wanted to marry. A woman from my place very close to us, came to my cousin and his father and told them about the family background.
She told them the father was a renowned criminal and that the family have no good records.
Do you know this cousin of mine went and gossipped that information to the lady and her mother. He told them the person who said it and trouble began. What that woman said was what other people already knew but afraid to say.
The lady and her mom came for a fight to the woman who disclosed the information. You need to see how this woman denied everything. She said the person who told them she said it should bring evidence when she was saying it. She vehemently argued and denied it ooo. That was how the case was rested. When someone called the woman aside, and asked her why she said that, she opened up saying she had to deny it as well to save her head. She thought people she was trying to help were reasonable but she has learnt her lessons and will just be looking.
Less than six months, this lady and family have started showing their characters already. Just introduction they have done on her and you need to see what they're currently doing. Na look everybody dey now. Like my people often says, ''He who gathers ants infested firewood.........

ReplyDeleteI just went back to that post of the woman whose husband and mum in law wanted her to pound yam for them immediately after giving birth, read some comments about some women staying in those kind of situations because they have nowhere else to go (finance, orphans etc). I still do not see that as a reason to stay in a union/relationship that has turned deadly my friend.
Anyman/woman who puts you under such extreme situation does not care if you are alive or dead, dem no send your papa!! So why should you be managing a potentially deadly situation in the name of not having funds or a helper?
What happens if say for instance that spouse dies today or even sends you packing, will you not move ahead with your life and find a way to hustle to keep body and soul together?
Single mothers, widows everywhere are struggling and thriving, is it easy? NO but it is very doable!!
So me oh, I reserve no pity for anyone who chooses to stay in that kind of life threatening union, whatever shege your eyes see, take am like that.
My friend is facing shege banza in the hand of her mother in-law, but I can't advise her so she won't say I'm looking for companion, but isn't it better to be single than to be in constant battle? She's now bp patient π the once bubbling and chubby face is now so gloomy, I feel so sad and angry anytime she comes. And she's even working but she doesn't want to carry the tag , I understand her because her mom is divorced so is her eldest sis, so she doesn't want the cycle to continue, but at what expense? Her life? God forbid

Losing 2-4 to Girona was quite terrible.. For the EPL, it does appear no one can stop City. Halland scoring 4goals was absolute beast. I really would want Arsenal to win this league cos they have really pushed hard but that loss at home to Aston Villa appears to have put them in this state where they have to chase City. I even read the eriwoya people has already exhumed the body so they can perform their own rite for her, omoh this life is too deep, alot is happening around us that we can't see with the physical eyes, one needs to be careful and not look for money in a way that will make ones end messy, nobody is sure what happened to her cos all we are reading is hearsay but still one needs to be careful, cos no lo far rara.
My fellow church dropout, please let's try and look for a spirit filled church and start attending church again, there are still some good churches around, I'm church hunting now seriously, I need to grow my spirit being
